ASSESSMENT DATA

Your school is taking you on a trip to a Techno Computer Museum. You

need to work out the total cost for the trip, and how much each student

will need to pay, using a spreadsheet. There are 48 students, two

educators and two extra support staff. Everyone is going on the guided

tour.

The cost of the transport, guided tour and support staff is split evenly

between all the students; therefore, the cost will be divided by the

number of students.

Costs involved:

The trip will use a bus for transport which costs R1 700.

Entry to the museum is R75 per student. (Teachers/Support staff enter

free of charge).

The guided tour is another R25 per student.

Lunch will cost R50 per student.

The extra support staff needed on the trip will cost a total of R700.
