SUBSCRIPTION
Prophet is the actuarial financial projection and analysis tool of choice, currently used by more
than 10,000 people at more than 1,000 customer sites in 70 countries.
Naturally, we want all our customers to be able to make full use of all the functionality and
features offered by Prophet. To be able to learn about the extensive range of facilities for all
types of actuarial calculations that Prophet provides, we now offer training as a subscription.
TRAINING MODULES

We have a choice of over 80 Course modules are around 2 The modules cover hundreds of
modules to choose from hours in length, which makes different topics across 6 of the

topics at varying levels. Our and doesn’t impact on day to libraries. Modules are all

MODULE CATALOGUE
DELIVERY EXAMPLE
• Assume that there are 5 users and each user can attend 20 modules per year (i.e. you have an annual
quota of 100 modules).
• The example below shows how you can take your users from beginner to expert over a 3-year period. The
5 users then change in year 4 and the modules are repeated with the new users.
• Once delegates have attended the core modules, they can then choose from the ever-growing list of
optional modules.
• The modules chosen will depend on the applications and libraries you have licensed and hence this
example is customizable.
The list of all available modules is given below. Modules are either considered to be core modules or optional
modules.
All core modules listed within a section are expected to be taken together. Any prerequisite modules are noted at
the beginning of each section.
PP3 – Customising Prophet Code PP7 – Practical Exercise (Part I): Creating
• Editing Prophet Code a Product
• Modelling Time in Prophet (Double module: Done with PP8 over 4hrs)
• Referencing Tables in the Code • Creating product
• Specifying data inputs
• Customising code
PP4 – Running Models
• Components of a Prophet Run
• Structures and Run Settings PP8 – Practical Exercise (Part II): Running
• Processes in a Run and Debugging
(Double module: Done with PP7 over 4hrs)
• Running products
• Reviewing results

DCS Modules
The Data Conversion System is a key application in the Prophet Professional suite. The
core DCS functionality has been split out into 4 essential training modules, there are 2
additional courses covering further DCS topics.
ALS Modules
The ALS modules have been split into the key areas; Assets, Internal Liabilities, External
Liabilities, Fund, and ALS Mechanics. Within each area the modules are defined as either a
“user” module, focusing on methodology, key tables and configuration, or a “developer”
module, focusing on coding within the ALS library.
AU1 – Asset Overview & Configuration OU1 – Stochastic & Dynamic Basics
• Standard Asset Types in ALS • Stochastic modelling
• Structure of Asset properties • ESG data for simulations
• Key Configuration Tables • Stochastic structures & run settings
• Main Reporting Variables • Stochastic summaries
• Dynamic structures & run settings
• Stochastic & dynamic examples
AU2 – Bonds, Equities, Cash, Model
Reports
• Methodology for modelling Bonds, Equities and *EU1 or IU1– External/Internal Liability
Cash Overview & Configuration
• Asset data input • Overview of External/Internal Liability approach
• Goal Seeking of market spread • Key Configuration tables

• Structure within ALS • Key variables
• Funds, Pools, Segments
• Key Configuration tables or *IU2 – Tables & Key variables overview
• Liability Tables
FU2 – Realignment & Model Reports • Key Variables
• Realignment • Calculation of reserves and cashflows
• Buying & selling assets with examples
• Model reports *Choice is driven by the variation of ALS library used
ASSETS
AU6 – Mortgages
• Methodology for modelling Mortgages AD3 – Creating a SPV
• Repayment schedules • Create a Special Purpose Vehicle exercise
• Prepayment penalties • Include non-standard assumptions
• Fixed vs floating interest rate

• Use DCS to create asset data
AU7 – Buying & Selling Assets • Use DCS to create ESG data
• Buying and selling assets • Data validation
• Realignment overview • Including extra information into model reports
• Exercise in buying and selling assets with
stressing (e.g. Solvency II) AD5 – Enhancing Reporting
• Create extra reporting variables of varying
granularity
