PROFILE
SPARK FOR INNOVATION &
CREATIVITY (SPARK)
is an independent Palestinian, non-governmental developmental organization
working in the fields of education, entrepreneurship, digital transformation, culture and
heritage; founded on 2018 and registered on January 2019.

Spark fosters creativity and innovation during its interventions to generate core values
in our community, to be a thriving, successful community in which all people have
access to proper tools to launch new ideas and to create innovative work
opportunities; SPARK believes in the vital role of creativity and innovation as a key part
in any solutions provided for the Palestinian youth, adolescents, and those who look
for an opportunity to develop their selves.

VISION
Towards a creative Palestinian community in which every young man and woman
utilizes their creativity to shape their own future in such an effective way.

MISSION
SPARK is an innovation hub that provides Palestinian Youth and adolescents with
inspiring, innovative and motivational learning environment in order to enhance their
creativity in order to enhance their accessibility to decent job opportunities from a
digital perspective.

Makerspace for Interactive Education
This program offers different educational services; such as 21st-century skills, STEAM
education, project-based learning, and enhances the interconnectedness of
academic subject areas.

Digitalization & Inclusion

This program focuses on helping youth and adolescents have inclusive access to
technology and digital tools. It features a variety of workshops touching on a variety of
internet-related topics in such a protected environment.

Culture & Arts Program

This program highlights and addresses the importance of Palestinian culture as main
part of our identity, maintain culture and heritage as main parts of promoting
Palestinian culture in such an innovative way.

Over the past years, we at Spark, have managed to implement several pioneering
projects which precisely respond to youth and adolescents' issues, needs and
priorities making best use of the affordable resources based on Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs), global digital transformation, global approaches
including emancipatory and peace education approach and other key aspects.

MEDIA BALANCE & WELL-BEING:

Build capacities of youth and adolescents in the fields of cyber security, safe usage of
internet, digital blackmailing, bullying and hacking.

Climate Change in Makerspace

Promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth through promoting youth to be
ambassadors for driving change in their communities.

Be Tech Youth!
Advance the capacities of youth in the field of outsourcing and freelancing to increase
their accessibility to decent job opportunities.

Hands-on learning experience where students learn rapid-prototyping by planning and
executing projects, resulting in a personal portfolio of technical accomplishments
through Spark Makerspace tools.

Raise youth awareness on SDGs and its importance as a road map towards a
prosperous future based on a vital and ambitious community with a flourishing and
thriving economy.

Provide youth with the necessary skills and expertise that enable them to be active

Use the STEM approach, which enhances the necessary skills in the twenty-first
century, such as critical thinking, logical thinking, creative thinking, problem solving
and so on.

Provide young girls with the opportunity to delve deeper into science, technology,
engineering and mathematics subjects towards bridging the gender STEM gap.

Youth in Peace & Culture:

Produce short animated films that reflect Palestinian cultural identity and
peacebuilding process from youth perspective.

Portal for Change

Connect youth with their peers from Arab and international countries to discuss global
issues affecting young people.

Digital Creative Content

Learn to produce interactive and rich online media content and acquire basic art,
design, entrepreneurial, information, and communication technology, skills that
prepare them for content entrepreneurship.

Digital Story building

Use storytelling techniques to advocate for youth rights, issues and priorities.
 SPARK MAKERSPACE

We work with technology and people to shape our world for the better –
combining a deep material understanding of new and emerging technologies
with the tools and methods of participatory design.

Spark makerspace provides access to new digital manufacturing technologies

(such as CNC routers and 3dprinter), product design and prototyping services,
and a range of free training courses. In addition to creative projects; graphic
design, video production, free events,, and free office space.
Organic Farming
for Climate Resilience
Get involved in a variety of activities that aim at improving livelihood
opportunities for young students by training them on using ICTs to promote
organic farming practices.

Smart Greenhouse
An automated digital agricultural system that monitors and controls the growth
stages of crops, by providing farmers with readings and predictions about the
condition of the crop and potential diseases. The projects aims at solve the issue
of over-irrigation and irregular irrigation, in addition to providing farmers with
appropriate recommendations for their crops.
 STEAM EDUCATION
What We Do??
STEAM programs fill an important gap in education today. The acronym, which
stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics, combines
subjects known to increase critical thinking and problem-solving skills through
unique hands-on learning opportunities.

STEAM Hub
Through exploratory and kinetic activities, students examine the science of
light and sound, discover how electricity and circuits work, and learn how
echolocation can be mimicked with technology.

Sensors
Students learn Everything there is to know about Sensors,how they work and
how to interface them and why we need them in our life

The Hands-On AI Projects

students work directly with innovative AI technologies, participate in “unplugged” activities
and create various products – from designing chatbots to presentations to video games –
to demonstrate their learning.

Smart Sustainable City

The program aims to enhance the social responsibility and leadership of youth to achieve
sustainable development goals (SDGs).
the program is divided into two phases:
Phase 1: consisting of lectures that aim to equip participants with the conceptual knowledge of
smart cities,
Phase 2: designed as capacity-building workshops where students work in teams to come up with
innovative solutions to smart city challenges

Through the (SDG) Youth Ambassadors Palestine Program, Spark aims to engage
youth in her efforts to achieve the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development
Goals (SDGs), as well as empower them with the knowledge, skills, and pathways to
action to be effective agents of change today.

Education for sustainable

Uses innovative, learner-centred teaching and learning styles. It empowers
students and makes them agents in the educational process, from early
childhood to old age. It promotes learning beyond the boundaries of
educational institutions

Education for sustainable helps students understand the situation, the outlook
and the needs of people who live in other parts of the world or belong to
another generation.
