Video 1: Giving the Gift of Life through Organ Donation by Chris Barry

a. I think, the kind of public speaking that the speaker used in his speech is persuasive speaking
because there are some sentences that invited or persuade the audience, those are in the minute of
6.04 that sounded “Go ahead, let's all sign up right now!” and the other in minute 14.15 is “I urge all
of you to thoughtfully consider the possibility of registering to be an organ donor.”

b. Yes, I think the speaker spoke properly and understandably because the topic he tried to convey is
delivered well and easy to understand by the audience, especially for me.

c. I think for the ethics, the statement that he gave in his speech is positive statement because it is
about the healthy and also invitation to the audience to sign up as an organ donation. For the
content, it is good, it is about the organ donation, the speaker also mentioned that one donor can
potentially save up to 50 people’s lives. For confidence, he is very confident to do his speech, he also
spoke with clear voice and also good intonation. For appearance, he put a serious face when he did
his speech because he didn’t want his invitation or his information seems like a joke to the audience,
he also used the body gesture to make his speech comfortable to see.

Video 2: Speak like a Leader by Simon Lancaster

a. I think, the kind of public speaking that the speaker used is demonstrative speaking because when
he told about how to do something, he also practices it directly. The signal that indicating this type in
minute 4.43 when he told the audience the second way of speak like leaders that is “Three sentences
in which the opening clause is repeated.”, he gave the example and practice it directly in minute 4.50
"We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight on the fields and
in the streets.".
b. Yes, I think the speaker spoke properly and understandably. He also gave many examples in his
speech and also demonstrate it to make sure that the audience understand his speech.

c. I think for the ethics, the statement that he gave in his speech is positive statement because it is
about the techniques of speak like a leader. For the content, it is a good content. The content is
about six techniques to speak like a leader. He also provided many examples and explain one by one
every technique. For confidence, he looks so confident when he did his speech. For sound, he
changed his sounds and his tone every time he practiced the technique to the audience. For
appearance, he has a good appearance, he often smiles when he did his speech and he also changes
his face expression every time he practiced the technique to the audience.

Video 3: “It’s a Bird, It’s a Plane, It’s Aviation!” by Felicia Tang

a. I think, the kind of public speaking that the speaker used is informative speaking because she only
gave and explain the information about aviation. In minute 1.10 “First explore the history of aviation,
next we will learn about the physics behind it before finally understanding the duality of aviation and
its ability to connect people.” In minute 4.07, she explained about how aviation works “There are
four forces that allow something to fly push lift drag and gravity.”

b. Yes, I think the speaker spoke properly and understandably. She also used the properties (things
such paints or pictures) to make her speech to be not boring and made the audience felt more
comfortable.
c. I think for the ethics, the statement that she gave in her speech is positive statement, she only
gave us information about aviation. For the content, it is very good content, the content is about
aviation, like history of aviation, how aviation works, and others. For confidence, she looks very
confident when she did her speech, her sound is also very clear with the intonation and tone of her
voice. For appearance, she always looks happy and put a smile on her face, and she also used body
gestures when she did her speech.
