The ‘C’ hydrogen generator system is based on Steam Reforming of natural gas, LPG or
naphtha as feed to produce a hydrogen-rich gas. The gas is then purified by the subsequent
purification system.

HYDROGEN PURIFICATION SYSTEM
The hydrogen purification system is based on the principle of bonding the impurities of a
hydrogen-rich feed gas with individually designed adsorbent materials to leave a high purity
hydrogen stream. The purification is effected in at least four adsorber vessels to ensure a
continuous hydrogen product flow. The process is defined by four main steps.

REFORMERS
STEAM REFORMERS
Steam reforming is the most extensive process
for the generation of hydrogen-rich synthesis gas from light
carbohydrates in the petrochemical industry.
The feed materials naphtha, liquid gas and natural gas are
endothermically converted with water steam into synthesis
gas in catalytic tube reactors. Flue gas and Process heat are
used for the steam generation. We are a reliable supplier of
steam reformer plants with capacities of synthesis gas from
400 to over 220,000 Nm³/h of.

CATALYST TUBES
Catalyst tubes, also known as reformer tubes are used in the Chemical,
Petrochemical or Fertilizer Industry, primarily for Methanol, Hydrogen or Ammonia applications.
They are required in steam reforming processes, in which a synthesis gas containing carbon
monoxide and hydrogen is produced from a carbon-containing energy carrier. The process
takes place under high pressure, at high temperatures and in the presence of a catalyst. In the
steam reforming process, mostly naphtha and steam are heated at a pressure of 3 MPa or
higher up to a temperature of 800-1000°C. Reformer tubes used in extreme environments
under high temperatures and pressures are required to have high resistance to heat and
extremely high resistance to creep damage.
