The beauty of this garden could be compared with any international garden. It is equally important for its botanical value. Richest collection of trees, shrubs and climbers are the hallmarks of this garden. To enlist this rich flora with their botanical specifications that includes botanical, family and local names along with flowering time, flower colour and propagation method was a Herculean task but the zeal and zest of Ch.M. Tariq, Deputy Director, Mr. Ramzan Rafique, Agricultural Officer and Dr. Muhammad Afzal, Instructor, Bagh-e-Jinnah Lahore is really tremendous. Their contribution towards categorization of the flora would be remembered for long time. I also acknowledge that they have produced optimum results with minimum resources. This book will contribute a lot for Horticultural students and plant lovers which will also be of interest and informative forthe general reader. (FAYYAZ BAS! Secretary Agrieuffure, Punjab.
