because these sections of the society were prejudiced against in the past. They were not
given equal opportunities to prove their calibre so they remained isolated from the
development process. Hence,they remained lagged behind. 

So, looking at this perspective, the reservation that is provided to this section of society is
justified to an extent. This will give them opportunity to contribute to their development.
However, as society evolves, dynamic socio- economic parameters need to be applied for
extending the benefits.
