Health Card demonstration in Python programming.

INTRODUCTION:
HEALTH CARD:
A health card is a health insurance identity proof that holds your personal details, policy
information and financial coverage under a health insurance plan. It offers cashless
payment options to pay for your medical bills arising from hospitalization and other
treatment charges.

Qaumi Sehat Card (National Health Card) is a Micro-health Insurance initiative currently
available for citizens of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Balochistan, Gilgit Baltistan Azad
Kashmir, Islamabad, and Tharparkar (Sindh) under the Sehat Sahulat Program
(Healthcare Convenience Program) by the Government of Pakistan. Under the program,
millions of people belonging to low-income families are getting swift and free inpatient
healthcare services without any financial obligations.

Holding a Sehat Card allows you to receive health services in many Public and Private
Hospitals across the designated regions. You can access those facilities and get
treatment and care in case of accident and medical emergency, and for diseases like
diabetes, kidney diseases, Hepatitis B and C, and all types of cancers. Furthermore,
Sehat Card holders can also receive free COVID-19 treatment. 

DESCRIPTION:
 Quami Sehat Card/Naya Pakistan Sehat card is only for indoor treatment, and
provides cashless health care service. No amounts shell be paid to beneficiaries
if the card is not used. Husband, wife and unmarried children are covered in this
scheme.
 No limit on family size.
 A family can use up to 400000 PKR for priority health care service and 60,000
PKR for secondary health care service. Family can benefit from the card till cash
limit is available.
 Additionally financial limits are allocated to family in life threatening condition and
in case of maternity.
 Patients with requiring Cardiological interventions, Cancer Treatment, Dialysis
and Renal transplant will have further treatments coverage, financial limits of
each beneficiary will be refreshed to full amount after the completion of one year
of service.
 For the medical prescription one has to contact the nearest Doctor. The doctor
after examination, will determine the type of illness and suggest if there is a need
to admit the patient in the hospital.
 After Hospital Admission, entire treatment will be free of cost. OPD is not covered
in Program.

ABSTRACT
Sehat Sahulat Program is a milestone towards social welfare reforms; ensuring that the
identified under-privileged citizens across the country get access to their entitled
medical health care in a swift and dignified manner without any financial obligations.
The SSP program’s objective is to improve access of the poor population to good
quality medical services, through a micro health insurance scheme.

TREATMENT PACKAGES

SECONDARY CARE

In Patient Services (All Medical and Surgical Procedures).


Emergency Treatment requiring admission.
Maternity Services (Normal Delivery and C – Section).
Maternity Consultancy / Antenatal Checkups (4 times before delivery and one follow up
after delivery).
Maternal Consultancy for family planning, immunization and nutrition.
Fractures / Injuries.
Post hospitalization.
Local Transportation Cost of PKR 1,000 (thrice per year).
Provision of transport to tertiary care hospitals.
PRIORITY TREATMENT
In Patient Services (All Medical and Surgical Procedures).
Heart diseases (Angioplasty/bypass).
Diabetes Mellitus Completion.
Burns and RTA (Life, Limb Saving Treatment, implants, Prosthesis).
End stage kidney diseases/ dialysis.
Chronic infections (Hepatitis/HIV/Rheumatology).
Organ Failure (Liver, Kidney, Heart, Lungs).
Cancer (Chemo, Radio, Surgery).
Neurosurgical Procedure.

Sehat Sahulat Program is a milestone towards social welfare reforms; ensuring that the

medical health care in a swift and dignified manner without any financial obligations.
RESULT:
We used different python functions to perform this task
We used if conditions, for loops, nested if & is else conditions to perform this task.
