A. APPLICATION
1. How can NSTP-CWTS students serve the community?
We, students of NSTP-CWTS are equipped to serve our communities by
providing them with the basic human needs. We can do so by conducting
charity programs such as planting trees and other plant life that provide food
and oxygen, health programs that promote a healthy lifestyle, and
entrepreneurship programs that help facilitate business startups. We
students should also be respectful of our surroundings and other people in
order to better serve our community. NSTP-CWTS students are prepared for
life outside of school. We are well trained to become active members of our
community and serve with moral values and being responsible. Student
participants of this program can become active members by providing moral
leadership. Last year we held a community pantry here in our barangay to
help our neighbors and especially senior citizens because of the financial
crisis we all have experienced brought to us by this pandemic. These little
things we do for our community is such a big help for those who really are in
need and as a student, we should do anything to served and help our
community.

2. What social service in community development did you participate in as


an NSTP-CWTS student?
One of the simplest ways that I gain satisfaction from life is dedicating my
time to a cause that I feel passionate about. Community service offers
numerous opportunities for me to utilize my talents to aid those in need for
guidance and extra help. During this pandemic since we are prohibited in
attending face to face classes, I decided to volunteer for the “Brigada Pagbasa”
program here in our barangay to help the elementary students learn how to
read, write and count. Because of this pandemic, we youth have the privileged
and chance to help in our community by partaking in some program our
barangay had like the clean-up of coastal areas here in our barangay. Every
first Saturday of the month I am joining this clean-up together with the
barangay officials and some youth volunteers. Since it is pandemic, I am
limited to go to different places that’s why I’m joining the activities here in
our community to served as my exercise and of course to helped in making
our environment clean and green.
B. REFLECTION
1. What is the importance of having a vision and mission in a certain
public institution or project?
Your project’s vision and mission statements give you a sense of
belonging, which motivates you to work harder and to achieve success.
They instill a mindset that enables you to grow your institution or project
you started. A mission statement provides the direction the institution
should take, and a vision statement describes the ideal future state of the
project that results from following that direction. It's good to put the
resources of an institution to use in a way that will help it move forward
toward a successful future. A mission statement provides a clear and
effective guide for making decisions, while a vision statement ensures the
decisions made align with what the project is trying to accomplish. Having
a vision and mission statement helps make sure that everyone in the
institution knows what they're working towards. This helps increase
efficiency and productivity within the institution. In conclusion, we can
state that your project must have vision and mission statements so that
they may establish goals; without established goals, institution cannot
succeed.

2. Based on your course, what component of NSTP would best exemplify


your future career and why?
Among the three components of NSTP, the best component that would
exemplify our future career which is an accountant, hopefully, is the Civic
Welfare Training Service (CWTS) because it is a programs or activities that
contribute to the general welfare and the betterment of life of the
community just what accountants do. They are responsible for a wide
range of finance-related tasks, either for individual clients or for larger
businesses and organizations employing them. Accountants have a very
important role in our society just like preparing tax returns and ensuring
that taxes are paid properly and on time. This is one example that
contribute to the general welfare of our community. They provide and
offered strategize solutions and help organizations run efficiently. They
play an important role for the betterment of life of the members of our
community/ society. This component of NSTP helps us to be aware of the
importance of our roles and future career in the society. It maximizes our
capabilities to we can use it in our own lives. It taught us to be responsible
of our own development.
