PERSONAL INTRODUCTION

Rafael Enrique Rangel:

I am Rafael Rangel Toloza, I am 25 years old. I'm from Barranquilla, Atlántico.

I study bachelor in English, I am a responsible, committed and honest person. I live with my

parents, I have 2 brothers, but they already have a home formed by their partners and children. I

work as a graphic designer, in my work experience I have worked as a teacher, advisor and

graphic designer. My expectations with the course is to acquire knowledge that I can apply in my

professional and personal life, to be an integral person in knowledge and knowledge that will

help me develop in any aspect of my life.

Donnis David Soto:

My name is Donis, I am 25 years old, I am a very kind and grateful person with life (lit.

trans), at the moment I work and I also study. My family is essential in everything, I try to visit

them every Saturday. My family is big because we are 10 brothers, 2 women and 8 men, I do not

have a girlfriend, in love it did not work very well (unclear), I am persevering (check grammar,

adjective or verb) and every day I try to improve. When I have free time, every time I can enjoy

it more fully to the fullest, sometimes by walking with my cousins and some friends from school.

Cindy Carolina Jiménez:

Hi everybody! I’m Cindy Jimenez, I’m 27 years old, I live in Barranquilla. This is my

fifth-semester of Master of Arts In Teaching English As A Foreign Language. I’m married and I

have one daughter she is five years old.

I work at the airport with Avianca, I have been working there for six years and this has

been an enriching experience to me. I love this Company, there I have learned what and how to

handle stressful situations that happen everyday being empathetic and kind.

Betzi Liliana Daza:

My name is Betzi Liliana Daza Guerra, I am twenty one years old, I'm single, I live in the

town of Patillal-Cesar, I am a very dedicated and responsible person, I only have two brothers,

one brother and one sister.

I help my mother, she is a community mother, I live with my father, my mother and my

sister. I study in CEAD Valledupar and I am currently studying the sixth semester of Bachelor in

Teaching English as a Foreign Language. In my free time I go with my friends to the park.

REFLECTION ABOUT THE LEARNING PROCESS

Rafael Enrique Rangel:

I decided to study a bachelor's degree in English because I like the language, also because

it is one of the most beautiful professions, because we can provide our knowledge to young

people or children so that they can perform within the social or professional sphere in society.

My learning process has been enriching, because I have learned on many topics that cover the

English language and the teaching and methodological strategies that a teacher must know.

For these reasons I think that, when studying a bachelor's degree in English, it is like

studying 2 careers because I learn English, and I also learn topics related to pedagogical training.
I'm a little out of English vocabulary and pronunciation, but I've had tutors who have created

strategies for them to develop and advance the learning process.

Donnis David Soto:

One day I started studying English on my own and then I saw that I understood certain

things in English and I liked English. Today my experience with English has been unique. 18

months ago I started studying English in college, I want to get a degree in English. This process

has not been easy but not impossible. One of my obstacles is distance education because I do not

find the ease of putting into practice (lit. trans. Word-choice) what I am learning, another of my

weaknesses to learn English is that I concentrate a lot on grammar and I think that is why I have

taken longer to learn.

Cindy Carolina Jiménez:

About my English learning process, I can say that it has been so hard, because, I make many

grammatical mistakes, however, I don't fear to do it when I'm speaking with a foreign or

someone, because this is part of the process. But I have to assume I feel fear, when I have to

write, due to, there are some words that I don´t know how to write, but I know their meaning and

pronunciation… this is so weird for me, maybe, this happens for the way I learned English.

When I listen to the videos I have recorded in the last four semesters I think I need to practice

more my pronunciation, and vocalization, because I speak so fast in Spanish and sometimes,

when I speak in English the people can’t understand me.

I would like to do an immersion in an English speaking country at least for 3 months and really

learn.
Betzi Liliana Daza:

Since I was in school, I always liked English, I understood most of the things that the

teacher explained, but very few things that I did not understand very well, therefore, it was of

great importance for me to ask my teacher and leave Doubts. My experience so far has been a

great help for my learning. My learning process has been very difficult, since it is very difficult

for me to speak and listen, since I do not understand everything they say and when I speak it is

difficult and I get very tangled Since before I started studying English, I have focused a lot on

the meaning of the words and also in knowing the grammar and not only can I dedicate myself to

grammar and meaning, because speech and listening are of vital importance to my learning

process.
