The Department of Education (DepEd) is set to have its annual Brigada Eskwela from
August 1 to August 26, 2022, for public elementary and secondary schools nationwide with theme for
this year’s Brigada Eskwela is “Tugon sa Hamon ng Ligtas na Balik-Aral .” 

During this week, school administrators, teachers, students, their parents, and volunteers from
both government offices and non-government organizations work together to improve the school’s
facilities and even to reach out to our learners who struggles in their studies specifically in their
reading skills.

It is in this context that we want and invite you to be part of this annual DepEd-initiated
activity. Aligned with the Brigada Pagbasa Program, we need volunteers from your good
organization to teach few of our learners who are non-readers and under frustration level readers.

Amidst the present dilemmas and hassles brought about by this COVID 19 situations, people have
turned to several recourse either to be busy to while the time away or to venture in finding any means for
additional source of income.

The Southern Support Command Elementary School teachers with their supportive school principal
made it a point to find extra time and exert effort in planting different vegetables not only to adhere to DepEd’s
advocacy, but likewise to reach out to our school children and parents to do the same not only to be able to save
on family’s budget, but possibly to extend it as a meager source of income.

In regards to this, we would like to request for your benevolent support to provide us with a vegetable
seedlings and more so, a video lesson yields on how to propagate these plants for fruitful yields both at home
and in school.

along way in helping our school children, parents and even teachers find a simple but enjoyable way to meet the
challenges of this pandemic times.

or the National Schools Maintenance Week(NSMW),the undersigned, on behalf of Southern Support

Among the activities that will help beautify the school and make it ready for this school year

2. Repairing/ repainting of school pathway/catwalk
3. Repairing/repainting of building facades
4. Creating/posting of signages in a certain area about covid awareness
5. Cleaning of school drainage
6. Fixing electrical wirings and replacing defective bulbs
7. Planting of seedlings on the School in a Garden (SIGA)and Gulayan sa Paaralan
8. Cleaning the school canal
9. Installing a rain barrel
It is also humbly proposed that we specifically need cleaning materials, paint, garden tools,
ornamental plants, chicken wires and empty plastic/ steel drums and chicken wires. You may bring
any of the tools and materials mentioned.
