Lyrics in music

It can be said that poems are very complex for a certain group of people and for this
reason I am not used to reading them. Because I am very logical and looking for the
intentions that I want to portray, poetry is difficult because I am literal. However, there are
small poems that explain complex ideas much better. These poems can show you any
emotion thanks to a memory or an experience that you have lived. Knowing that people feel
identified by words that are together in verses is surprising since it indicates how words can
influence people in a good or bad way.

To better explain how a poem can influence emotions, I chose a short one that
explains the love of lyrics in music. The reason why you should read the poem is because it
portrays how music can express everything you want. This poem by Eloise Klein Healy
called “The lyric In A Time of War” is concrete and tender in some ways. One explanation to
better understand the poem is that it is dedicated to Sappho's, known as the first lesbian poet.

If I take it literally. It could be said that for me music is something essential in life. I
don't know the reason why music touches my heart more, but I feel it more sincerely.
Explaining my love for music also entails explaining my love for BTS. As Eloise Klein Healy
explains in the first verse:

“Let my music be found wanting

in comparison

to yours (as it must)”

Healy dedicates this poem to Sappho’s. The admiration Healy has for the Greek poet can be
explained in the first stanza. She is trying to compare this poem with the poem of her “muse”.
Healy tries to explain what the poet’s work means to her without the necessity of lowering
her own poem. Each person has a different interpretation of everything. You can't force a
person to think like you. Comparing this poem with my experience. It could be said that I
admire BTS a lot because they are sincere in their lyrics and sing about what people could
live or feel throughout life.

Considering the love and admiration he feels for the poetess. The next stanza portrays
that love and passion that it wants to represent:

“let me be found loving

(as you were)

extravagantly the beautiful”

However, she also wants to reach people with the same passion, that they enjoy what
she writes. And it can be compared to the teachings that they represent in my life. With them
I learned to love myself because their music and their personality leads you to want to be
better for yourself and for others. The most important thing is us. Thanks to this we reach the
third paragraph that explains how they can be found over the years and share a link:

“let me find you

and the song (forever)

between us”

Now, with the line "find you", it could be said that you want to have a connection where time
is not an impediment to share some sensation that makes you remember the person.

And the last stanza is short, but it has many meanings depending on each point of
view:

“in these terrible times”

With the title, when referring to "terrible times" it can be said that they were in some war, but
it is not certain. When comparing this stanza with my life, it can be said that BTS appears in
the worst times or moments that a person can live. They help you improve a lot and come out
in a better way and not give up.

In conclusion, this poem has many criteria. It depends on when you read it and how
you understand it. But to start with, and when you don’t like poems it’s easy to understand
what it’s about.
