• 1.2 Some Concepts :

• Bandwidth: bandwidth is the maximum data volume capacity of a network.
• Throughput: is the amount of data traveling successfully across a network.
• Data rate: the amount of data transmitted during a specified time
period over a network.

• 1.3 Core Network:

• A core network offers numerous services to the customers who are
interconnected by the access network.

• In general, this term signifies the highly functional communication facilities

that interconnect primary nodes. The core network delivers routes to exchange
information among various sub-networks.

• This term is also known as network core or backbone network.

• 2- LTT Network
• 2.1 IP Network architecture
• LTT NGBN network is made of DWDM equipment to transport traffic between
main nodes over the NGBN fiber cables, and IP/MPLS routers to aggregate and
route all these flow all over the Libyan nation, over the dark fibers.

• The following diagram illustrates a section of the interconnection between

these different layers:

• Alcatel-Lucent 7750 SR multiservice

edge routers have been designed
from inception to deliver
differentiated, high-performance,
high availability services. With
platform capacities ranging from 90
Gb/s to 2 Tb/s, specialized service-
aware application processing,
advanced quality of service (QoS),
and a comprehensive range of
Ethernet and multiservice
