FOREWORD

You joined TDS to learn stock trading. You were excited to go

through all the ups and downs of being a TDS for you know that
success is your ultimate destination.

6 months later and you are still doing the same ups and downs
without any result.

You lose less now yet you’re still not earning.

You feel like you just wonder aimlessly.

Are you just wondering aimlessly?

I. Since You Were A Kid
You lived your life having a plan with to everything that you
do.
You watch Barney when you were young and there is
always a plan or direction in every episode. There is always a
problem, then Barney and his friends will come up with a solution.

You watched “DORA, the Explorer” and there is always a

plan and a sense of direction to whatever she does. She even has
this map.

“I’m the map! I’m the map! I’m the map!”

You go to school as an elementary student and the goal
since grade 1 is to finish the school year and advance to another
level. You do everything you can to accomplish it. You attend flag
ceremonies. You pass all the projects and assignments. You try to
pass the exams. You have this goal that you need to do the things
needed to move up another level. Even if you failed, you know right
away that you failed. The teacher will inform you and your parents

There is always a destination. The goal is always clear.

Summertime comes and you know you will be playing and

enjoying it with family and friends. You will go to this relative one
week then to this friend another week.

Your life even as a kid had purpose and direction.

You and your parents always know what to do next.

2|Page
II. High School
You are still under your parents’ rule but may little sense of
independence ka na.
You can choose which friends you will hang out with. You
can choose what sports you want to focus on.

Nagkakaroon ka na ng konting “crush.”

You dress a little better. You talk a little better. You are more
ang life mo. You have this sense of direction.
mo lahat para magmove up.
up ka and failed ka kapag magrerepeat ka the following year.

3|Page
III. Adulthood

It’s quite difficult dahil andaming pagsubok mula sa school,

The plan is simple. Get a job and start getting paid.

failure.

You know if nagsuceed ka and you know if nagfail ka.

That was how your life had been since you were a kid.

That is over two or three or four or even 5 decades of having

a direction.

Then you meet stock market!

4|Page
IV. Stock Market

of “plan” na nakasanayan mo na since you were a child.

Your plan was maglagay ng pera para palaguin.

You save up and buy some stocks.

Some are winners yet some are losers.

Few months into trading/investing ay narerealize mo na

parang walang pinupuntahan ang ginagawa mo.

You know kasi all your life ay alam mo ang success at failure.

Alam mo ang direction.

You try to join some programs and mentorships with the

hope to have a sense of direction and result sa trading/investing
journey mo.

5|Page
V. TDS

One day, you heard about TDS and how amazing the
feedbacks are.

With no hesitation ay sumali ka.

You were given a set of requirements.

You passed them all.

You were hoping na just like sa life na if you do all that is

Why would you not think that eh yan ang kinalakihan mo

all your life.

You were enthusiastic sa bawat task. You watch all the

movies. You watch all the videos. You buy every book available.
Some nababasa mo. Some di mo pa nababasa. You pass
assignments regularly.

You do all that is needed.

Sinabe na need mo eh keep losses mo small so yan din

ginagagawa mo.

6|Page
One day you wake up and realized na you did all that was
asked but unlike sa nakasanayan mo all your life ay parang wala
kang direction.

“I did everything, nasaan ang result?”

“Sa work ko kapag nag overtime ako lagi ay tumataas sahod

ko at napopromote ako.”

“Bakit sa trading wala akong result?”

“I spent hours and hours and hours doing everything that

was required pero bakit ganito?”

7|Page
VI. Losses

Nagdoubt ka na ba sa self mo?

Natanong mo na ba self mo bakit parang wala kang

progress?

I took the time to make an e-book kasi I think some of you

are reaching the point of self-doubt.

I will explain to you bakit ganyan ang nafifeel mo and I will

be very honest about it.

If you were winning now, would you have any self-doubt? If

No, right?

So, it’s the losses.

You did all you can pero you keep losing.

That’s not how your life was built.

If you put in effort, dapat may maganda na result diba?

8|Page
sa shoes more than a decade ago.

It’s not enough for me to tell you na it’s the losses.

nafifeel mo.

“Yeah, losses…so?”

Let me give you clarity sa next chapter!

9|Page
VII. You Are Not Alone

Let me show you something na tinatago nila.

I will stick with facts.

You will be able to verify everything na sasabihin ko.

I won’t add anything. Straight facts.

MUTUAL FUNDS
2019-2022

2021-2022

Source: https://href.li/?https://www.uitf.com.ph/top-funds.php

11 | P a g e
What does that picture tell you?

Mutual funds have a lot of fund managers, technicians,

researchers, analysts, etc.

Yet, they are on a loss.

Mas malaki pa nga siguro loss nila in percentage sa last loss

mo.

Try to soak that information in.

Hindi lang ikaw ang natatalo.

Hindi lang ikaw ang at loss ngayon.

I remember reading an article sa news noon na nagsasabing

maglalagay ng 400 million pesos ang SSS on top of their other
investment sa Tech na stock.

12 | P a g e
That was when TECH was in 50 pesos.

Now nasa below 3 pesos ang TECH.

ALL OF US

You are losing and nafifeel mo walang napupuntahan ang

effort mo.

Guess what? We are all losing.

iba.

13 | P a g e
VIII. Stock Market

result.

STOCK MARKET does not operate like that.

Iba ang rules ng stock market.

You deal with results na bigay ni market.

You don’t create the result.

You have no say sa result.

Whether you quit or not has no value or effect kay market.

Umiyak ka man jan or matuwa ay walang effect kay market.

You have no control over the market.

You just live with whatever results ang ibigay niya.

That concept is really really really hard i-digest.

Most cannot comprehend that.

The next question will always be “Eh kung ganun maam

paano magdeal sa stock market?”

14 | P a g e
Since day 1 ay tinuturuan ko na kayo paano magdeal sa
market.

Wala kang ibang choice but to keep your losses small.

Yan lang ang only way.

Market is supreme. Siya nasusunod. We are in a bad market

condition now but this will not last forever.

You need to still be here when things start to turn around.

Kaya keeping your losses small is our play.

15 | P a g e
IX. I Survived
Magtanong ka sa kahit sinong veteran na may over 15 years
of experience kung paano sila nanalo and they will tell you about
survival.

Walang skilled sa kanila.

Walang magaling.

They survived lang.

They manage to persevere and survived.

PSE.

Wala na sila ngayon. Kung nariyan pa man ay nasa forex,

crypto, NFT or kung ano pa.

They did not manage to survive PSE.

They will tell you na walang “liquidity” or “boring” ang PSE

but PSE has always been what it is mula pa nung wala pa sila sa
trading up to now na iniwan nila ang trading.

Your skill, research, knowledge will only get you so far.

Para makasurvive ay kakailanganin mo ng matinding

perseverance, mental toughness, emotional toughness at patience.

Keeping your losses small removes a lot of mental and

emotional baggage of losing.

It will help you survive.

16 | P a g e
X. Mababawe

You just need to keep going.

small.

There is no way na hindi magrerecover ang market.

No way!

Kaya mo ba magpatuloy?

If ang sagot mo sa tanong na yan ay yes then I promise you

na I will do everything I can para iguide ka.

Never lose faith in your goals.

Lahat talo ngayon.

17 | P a g e
give up.

Same market condition. Same obstacles. Same self-

doubts. Same uneasy feeling.

willing sila magpatuloy no matter what.

Market will do what it wants ke nag aagree ka or not.

Let the market do what it wants.

Let the losses come.

Take losses.

Persevere!

18 | P a g e
Final Note
One day masasabi mo ang nasabi ko when I was a newbie.

“I’m glad I never gave up!”

One day when you start earning over some series of trades
ay magpapasalamat ka sa sarili mo for not giving up.

You might even buy yourself an iPhone or a car.

That day will come.

Persevere.

If di mo kaya mag isa ay hihilahin kita. Aakayin.

Just persevere.

You deserve to see what is out there after all the losses.

You deserve to see what recovery is like.

You deserve to see this journey through.

I have a great faith in you.

Have faith in yourself.

I appreciate

that a lot.
