MINUTES OF THE MEETING

DATE: August 26, 2022


VENUE: Grade 7- Hope
TIME STARTED: 10:00 AM
TIME ENDED: 11:00 AM

 PART I – PRELIMINARIES
The attendees were gathered on the venue, signed the attendance sheet, and settled down.
The prayer was led by the class adviser.

 PART II – MEETING PROPER


The adviser introduced herself before stating the agenda of the meeting. After which, she
then flashed the topics to be discussed on the meeting. The following topics were discussed during
the first PTA meeting.
A. SCHOOL/CLASSROOM RULES
-The adviser specified the importance of footmop inside the classroom since the
classroom is being shared with other grade level. The parents have agreed that they will
secure a uniform for their child for it will serve as an identity that their child is a student of
Sudlon National High School. The importance of proper clothes and haircut were also given
importance. The adviser also pointed out the significance of the student’s attendance in any
the class and in any school program/activity.
B. CLASS SCHEDULING
-The adviser stated the class schedule for Grade 8 section CHESTNUT. Wednesday will
be for SET A and Thursday will be for SET B. Friday is allocated for remediation. Students will
be given a letter to be signed by their parents if it is their schedule for remedial classes.
C. PARENT SUPPORT AND FOLLOW-UP WITH THEIR CHILD
-The adviser asked help from the parents to also check the progress of their child.
The adviser also stated that if the parent is being called to come to school, they should make
time for it because it is an indication that their child is having a problem in school. And the
parents agreed to what the teacher said. The teacher also asked the parents to help monitor
their child in any way possible specifically on their attendance and academic progress.
D. ELECTION OF PTA OFFICERS
-These are the officers that were elected during the election of officers for Grade 8 –
CHESTNUT (S.Y. 2022 – 2023).

E. CLASSROOM PROJECT
-The parents have agreed to have a window cover/trapal as their project since they
have observed that raindrops enter the classroom during rainy days. The PTA President also
suggested that they add another wall fan for the classroom since during hot weather it
becomes very hot and humid inside.
F. OTHER MATTERS
 ORV
-The adviser proposed if it is okay if their child will extend 20 minutes after class
hours for them to have peer tutoring in reading. All parents agreed to have on this
proposal since it is for the improvement of their child.
-For those students living far from the school will have their peer tutoring after
lunch and for those who are living near the school, they will have it after the last
class.
 FORM 137-A for TRANSFEREES
- The Adviser pointed out the importance of submitting the SF10 early so that
the student will be permanently enrolled in the LIS.
-The adviser gave request forms to those parents of transferee students.

The meeting was adjourned but the adviser asked the officers to stay.

 PART III- PTA OFFICERS MEETING


The adviser had a meeting together with the officer for the classroom project. The president
volunteered to canvass for the materials needed for the window covers and the other officers
suggested to have a parents group chat so that they will be updated immediately in case there are
announcement that they need to know.
