Detailed 200L Course Outline
[ ]Structural mechanics of statically determinate body systems and plane jointed frames
[ ]REVISION.
They should read the notes the man gives them or are in the drive.
Not that they’re the main thing, they only help make reading the textbooks easier.
RK Bansal Strength of Materials and Deietmar Gross Werner are the texts.
They should practice Pq also, and also learn trusses again, 1 question would surely come from trusses.
[ ]The independent variable; definitions of rise-lime, settling time, overshoot, period magnitude and
duration of a signal.
[ ]Fourier Analysis
[ ]Devices and Models; Network analysis of circuits with independent and dependent sources.
[ ]REVISION.
\
For test, no matter how early in the semester it is, they should have finished everything pertaining to
signals, even and odd, discrete, continuous and those basic representations.
For exams, they should master Fourier series and representation of signals and Laplace transformations.
Then classes of systems also, casual and anticausal and the likes
For an idea of the man’s questions they should see pq. He repeats a lot of questions.
[ ]Methods of analysis suitable for the problems in Network theory in terms of currents, voltages,
energy/volt amperes, Loop and Nodal analysis.
[ ]REVISION.
But to prep for test and exams, the man gets questions from Agarwal and Lang, and Hayt.
If they only read sadiku and practice the questions there, best a "C". The questions are cheap.
And the should learn nodal and mesh analysis, oluseyi liked opamps, if they don't master it, they would
have trouble with op amps
[ ]Graphic Theory
[ ]REVISION.
MATLAB
Basically, they should never miss his class, make sure they install matlab early. Practice after every class,
practice at least once a weekend. It should be their easiest course if they practice and don’t disturb the
man.
He gives quizzes when the class is empty so they should try attending his class.
[ ]Structure of Solids
[ ]Electrons in Solids
[ ]Magnetic alloys
[ ]Ferrites, Thermal properties of materials
[ ]Introduction to Transducers
[ ]REVISION.
Jack his slides, every slide he gives, they should make sure they read it and research on the topics if they
don’t understand it. If they do this, they’re good to go. PQ Course also.
[ ]Thevenin’s theorem,
[ ]Superposition theorem,
[ ]Variation of Impedance and Current of a series RLC circuit with changes in frequency,
[ ]REVISION.
[ ]Laurent Series
[ ]REVISION.
There is this note, GEG 201 on complex variables by the course head. 80% of test and exam questions
come from there.
If they want to go the extra mile, they should study H.K Dass and Schaums complex variables, but it’s
not compulsory.
[ ]Linear dependence; Classification of Ordinary Differential Equations; Order, Degree and linearity.
[ ]Types and Techniques of solution of first order ODE’s; Picard’s iterative method; physical applications
of first order ODE.
[ ]Cauchy-Euler’s equations
[ ]Series solution
[ ]REVISION.
\
They should attend classes as much as they can, if they don’t, they should read the notes given in class.
There would be 10 slides, they should reach slide 7 before test and make sure they finish the slides
before exam.
It’s a lecturer course, no need to jack textbook if you’re reading smart, read the notes and slides and
you’re good to go.
For Geg’s, test might be obj. But they should still jack slides, because all obj questions are from the
slides.
[ ]REVISION.
Our set is the worst set to give them advice, we did nothing. Just sanfoundry and crammed obj.
They should go and buy JN Green (Green and Orange one), because they’d want to kala them as we
passed it a lot. YouTube videos would help a lot also. And they should submit all assignments, never can
tell which they’d use.
[ ]Forces in a plane
[ ]Forces in space
[ ]Friction
[ ]Moments of inertia
[ ]REVISION.
They should read Beer and Johnston up onto dynamics, practice 3D statics also…should be a chilled
course for those who liked GEG 113 and practice PQ.
[ ]Polygamy, monogamy, polyandry, plural marriages, homogamy, levirate, Ghost etcetera. Rules of
residence and decent
[ ]Concept and theories of social change; agents of social change- family, social actors, mass media,
government, Social groups, schools. Targets of social change
[ ]The language picture of Africa; official and vernacular in Africa; written and unwritten languages;
dances and music in Africa. Definitions and varieties; popular culture, music therapy, spatio-temporal
characteristics of Africa
[ ]REVISION.
