Annexe : Approximation d’une loi binomiale par une loi
Normale - Théorème de Moivre-Laplace
Le théorème de Moivre-Laplace affirme que, pour n suffisamment grand, on peut remplacer les
probabilités associées à la loi binomiale B(n; p) par celles de la loi normale N (µ; σ 2) avec µ = np et

σ = npq
En pratique, on approche les probabilités de la loi binomiale par celles de la loi normale lorsque
n > 50, np > 5 et nq > 5 .
