Division Festival of Talents


(DFOT) Guidelines
(Adopted from the NSTF 2019
AND 2021 ISEF Guidelines)
The competitions will be conducted
among Elementary, Junior and Senior High
School students from public schools within
the Division of Cavite Province. The first-
place winners on each category will represent
the division in the upcoming Regional
Science and Technology Fair as approved by
the Regional Scientific Review Committee.
The participation of schools in the
DFOT shall be clustered into four major
categories: Life Science, Physical Science,
Robotics & Intelligent Machines, and
Science Innovation Expo (SIE). These
major categories are further classified into
subcategories: Individual and Team.

public schools within the Division of Cavite

The following documents were
developed to provide guidance for all student
researchers, research adviser, qualified
scientist, adult supervising, designated
supervisor, IACUC (Institutional Animal Care
and Use Committee) - certified veterinarian,
Institutional Review Board, and Scientific
Review Committee to review a study or
research project after experimentation. This
guide is anchored on the Enclosure No. 11 of
DepEd Memorandum No. 113, s. 2019.

Each project should have been screened
by the Institutional Review Board (IRB)/
Scientific Review Committee (SRC) at the
school level. All school level winners must
be certified by the division SRC to join in the
division-level fair.
The Division Science Supervisor shall
be a member of the BOJ who shall determine
the school/division winners of the different
categories and fair divisions.
Winners at the school level shall be
officially endorsed to the division office for
the division level by the school head.
Likewise, the division-level winners shall be
officially endorsed to the regional office by
the Education Program Supervisor.
The first-place winners at the district
level in the elementary and school level in
the secondary shall be scrutinized by the
Division SRC before qualifying to the
DFOT.
The official list of the first-place
winners at the school level, three hard copies
of the manuscripts, project data logbook, and
ISEF forms must be submitted to the
Division SRC one week before the DFOT for
checking and validation.
