GUIDELINES FOR ASSESSMENT 2022-23 (ODD-SEM)

The guidelines for internal assessment for the odd semester 2022-23 are as follows:
I. ASSIGNMENT AND PRESENTATION
1. The course teachers shall identify the topics for the assignment for their respective subjects
and share the same in Google Classroom/Whatsapp group of the class on or before 10th
December 2022.
2. The hard and soft copies of the list of assignment topics allocated to the students shall be
submitted to the respective class teachers by 13th December 2022.
3. Students shall prepare the synopsis of the assignment and submit it to their course teacher for
approval.
4. The course teachers shall suggest changes (if any) and approve the synopsis.
5. The last date for submission of the synopsis is 17th December 2022.
6. Students must submit the handwritten assignments to the course teachers in the A4 size white
sheets duly affixing necessary front pages.
7. The last date for submission of the written assignments is 14th January 2023.
8. Assignment presentations (for 5 Marks) are scheduled from 20th February 2023.
II. WRITTEN TEST
1. The test for 10 Marks is scheduled offline from 02nd February 2023. The detailed instructions
regarding the test are as follows:
a) Portions for the test will be the topics which are covered in class from the two units of the
prescribed syllabus.
b) Format of the test will be as follows:
i. Part A- 1 Question of Internal Choice for 7 Marks.
ii. Part B- 1 Problem solving or Short Note of Internal Choice for 3 Marks.
c) The students must be present in the examination hall 15minutes before the scheduled time.
d) Students intending to answer the tests in Kannada shall convey the same to the
concerned class teacher at least one week before the date of test.

e) The answer booklets will be provided by the college, no additional sheets will be provided.
f) No books/text/electronic gazettes will be allowed in the examination hall.
g) The students failing to attend the test will lose 10 Internal Marks.

2. The course teachers shall submit the question papers to the scrutiny committee on or before
21st January 2023.
a. The course teachers need to upload the scheme of evaluation of their respective subject to
the Google classroom on 06th February 2023.
b. The course teachers must show the evaluated answer scripts to the students in their
respective class on or before 11th February 2023.
c. All the course teachers shall submit the marks of all components (test, assignment,
presentation) in the prescribed format to the respective class teachers on or before 11th
March 2023.
d. The class teachers shall consolidate the marks of all subjects of their respective classes and
submit the same in prescribed format to the Course Coordinators by 15th March 2023.

CLINICAL COURSE – I: PROFESSIONAL ETHICS AND
PROFESSIONAL ACCOUNTING SYSTEM

GUIDELINES FOR ASSESSMENT 2022-23( Odd Semester)


(For internal circulation only)

Objectives: In order to ensure the uniformity, certainty, and transparency in the conduct of the
internal assessment of components of Clinical Course – I PROFESSIONAL ETHICS AND
PROFESSIONAL ACCOUNTING SYSTEM the following standard operating procedure is laid
down.
1. Two internal tests shall be conducted carrying 40 marks each.

2. Viva-Voce shall be conducted for 20 marks.

3. First test shall be conducted for I and II Unit of the syllabus.

4. Second test shall be conducted for III, V and first five cases from IV Unit of the syllabus.

5. Viva-Voce shall be conducted for complete syllabus of CC-I

6. Both tests and viva- voce shall be conducted in offline mode only.

7. Attending tests and Viva voce is compulsory.

8. Question paper format for the tests is as follows:


i. Part A- Descriptive answers carrying 12 marks each. ( answer any two out of three
questions)– (02 X 12= 24 marks)
ii. Part B- Two short note questions or Problem based questions carrying 8 marks
each (answer any two out of three questions– (02 X08= 16 marks)
9. Duration for each test- One hour thirty mins. (1.5 hours)

10. The first test is scheduled on 04th February, 2023 and second test is scheduled on
11th March, 2023.

11. The students must be present in the examination hall 15 minutes before the scheduled time.

12. The answer booklets will be provided by the college, no additional sheets will be provided.

13. No books/text/electronic gazettes will be allowed in the examination hall.

14. Seating arrangements for the test shall be notified on the notice board on the day of
examination.

15. Students intending to answer the tests in Kannada shall convey the same to the
concerned course teacher at least one week before the date of test.

16. Course teachers shall submit the question papers to the scrutiny committee on or before
23rd January, 2023 for the first test and 6th March, 2023 for the second test.

17. Copying/sharing of answers is strictly prohibited. In case of any malpractice, then they
shall be disqualified, and their appearance of that test or viva-voce shall not be considered.

18. All the teachers-in-charge shall maintain the records of both the tests and viva-voce.

19. The assessment panel shall consist of two faculty members finalised by the Head of the
Institution.

20. Course teachers shall submit consolidated marks to the Principal by 23rd March, 2023.

CLINICAL COURSE – III
DRAFTING,PLEADING,&CONVEYANCING
GUIDELINES FOR ASSESSMENT - 2022-23

1. Each student shall undertake 15practical exercises in Drafting of Pleadings carrying


45marks, (3 marks for each exercise).
2. Each student shall undertake 15 practical exercises in Drafting of Conveyancing, carrying
45marks, (3marks for each exercise).
3. The above-mentioned drafting of Pleadings and Conveyancing exercises shall be
in the handwriting of the students on only one side of the Green Legal-size (14”x
8 ½) papers, preferably 70-80 GSM.

4. One inch margin on all 4 sides of the sheet shall be maintained.


5. The students shall submit the handwritten assignments (stapled) to the course teacher
for evaluation on as per the instruction of the course teacher, which shall be returned to
the students on any subsequent working day.
6. The students shall preserve the hard copy of the said assignments for the final
submissions upon binding.
7. Any assignment found to have been copied from others will not be evaluated.
8. The papers shall be bound along with a certificate signed by the course teacher and the
Principal to the effect that it is the bonafide work of the respective candidate.
9. The cover shall indicate the name of the examination, subject, seat number and the
center code number.
10. The bound journal shall be numbered beginning from the first assignment till the last and
the page numbers shall be mentioned in the index.
11. Any discrepancies found with handwriting or format or non-compliance with the above
mentioned instructions will result in rejection of journal.
12. At the end of the semester, the student shall appear for a viva voce, which shall carry
10marks.The same shall be conducted by a panel of teachers constituted by the
Principal and the course teacher.
13. One Internal Exam for 90 Marks will be held on 4th March, 2023
14. Journal Submission on or before 11th March, 2022
15. Viva-voce: 18th March, 2023.
16. All the course teachers to submit the marks to the class teacher/course coordinator on or
before 21st March, 2022.
