Introduction
Considering the growth of ATM usage fraud protection to self-service financial terminals is
critical. CBE ATMS namely NCR and Diebold has a capability to capture transaction images
of customers and store locally on the terminal. The software is web based capable of
cutting zipped folder for transaction images from self-serve terminals to on a daily base
and make available based on PAN, Date at least. It enables financial institutions to capture,
store and manipulate images and videos of ATM customers while they transact. Images are
captured on multiple events such as Card Insert/Eject, Cash Dispense, Bunch Note Acceptor
States, Cheque Processing Module States, Card Capture and Close State. These events are
remotely configurable for the ease and suitability of the financial institutions’ needs.

Users: Upon implementation of the new web based solution, users will find transaction
image based on date and PAN. Users will be able to specify the date and PAN of customer
transaction to retrieve images captured during transactions. The customer and the user for
the system are the District IS Support, IS Operation, Digital Channel Management and
Digital Channel Application Management teams.

Functional requirement
Expected features of for storage and retrieval of transaction Image solution is
 User Management Requirements: the application should be used via a web browser
each user should have credential therefore only authenticated users can access
customer’s transaction image. There will be a login page so that user can type into
his login information, and login to the system. Login information will be username
or e-mail address and password. The user interface for the software shall be
compatible to any browser such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla or Netscape Navigator
by which user can access to the system.

 Store: the system should be capable to store images in a zip format which is
downloaded from the ATM, one zip file per ATM per day.

 Download: the system should be capable to download transaction images from each
terminal at the end of the day and store downloaded images in a zip file

 Search: Transaction’s images stored in a centralized sever should be searchable by


Terminal, date & Card Number from web based user interface.
 Security: The system shall be designed with a level of security which the bank set
and appropriate for the sensitivity of information enclosed in the database only
allowed users should access the service. Moreover, the system website includes an
SSL certificate which enables the website to run securely on https protocol.
