PART 2

Question 1
Having a job and earning a salary is what every student dreams of for the future. Write an
essay about how you will spend your first salary.
In your essay, you should write about:
 What you would like to do with the money
 The reasons for your choice
 How much you will save from your salary

I often wonder if will be able to get a good job. I always dreamt about
having a job and imagining the day I would get my first salary.

I have planned what I would do with the money. First, I shall give half of
my salary to my parents. I will also take them for heavenly dinner at an
expensive restaurant. It is a way for me to thank them for bringing me up. Then,
I shall buy good clothes for myself. I always wanted to buy something nice for
myself and buying clothes will be a treat for me. Next, I shall save half of
whatever I have left. I need to save some money as a preparation for any
emergencies in the future. Finally, I will use some of my salary to buy food and
pay whatever bills that I shall need to pay.

I will try to save 40% of my salary for future. This money will be used for
future purpose, for instance like emergency, medical expenses or buying a
property. It is very important to save my money as I don’t need to ask money
from others or take huge loans to do something.
In conclusion, I’ll use the money in a beneficial ways as well as I will save
my salary too.
Question 2

Your class has been talking about local and foreign holiday destinations. Your
teacher has asked you to write an essay about your ideal local holiday
destination.
In your essay, you should write about:
 Your ideal local holiday destination.
 What are your reasons of your choice
 How would you spend your holiday on a budget.

My ideal local holiday destination would be a place where I can have


everything in one location. Locally, there is a place which is frequented by
many holidaymakers. The place is Genting Highlands.
There are a few reasons for my choice. Firstly, the place is cool and the air is
fresh. I personally like cold over hot weather. Secondly, the place has the latest
restaurants in town, namely “Five Guys” and “Burger & Lobster”. Besides, the
latest theme park called “Genting Skyworlds” is my favourite latest attraction. I
was there early January and the park was open partly to showcase the place. I
took the “Global Defender” ride and it was world class. My heart was pumping
non-stop and people watching us could hear our hysterical screams throughout
the ride.
Sometimes, holiday could be expensive and it is very important to plan and
spend wisely within a budget. In order to do that, we need to check with a few
sources to get the best deal. Moreover, we need to stay on top of our spending.

Question 3
Your class has been discussing on the topic of doing something good for others.
Your teacher asked you to write an essay on your opinion about a charity
project.
In your essay, you should write about:

 a charity project you wish to take part


 how to carry out the charity project
 why it is important to be involved in charity work

Write your essay using all the notes and giving reasons for your point of view.
Charity, charity, charity. My family members want to do charity.
Moreover, all my friends also want to do charity. I also want to do charity work.
I wish to take part in a charity project. I want to clean Sungai Nibong
mosque. I live in Sungai Nibong, Penang. I love the mosque. The mosque is old
but beautiful. In addition, it is also big.I plan to clean the mosque with my
friends. I plan to ask Kamal, Roslan, Elmi, Syafiq and Azham to join me. They
are good friends. Kamal, Roslan and Elmi can sweep the floor. Syafiq, Azham
and I can mop the floor. Syafiq loves to clean toilets. Azham loves to vacuum
carpets. I love to watch Syafiq and Azham doing their work. We can do our
work for three hours.
It is important to do charity work. We can learn to help other people.
Besides, we can learn about teamwork. We can do more when we have a team.
Furthermore, we can learn not to be selfish.
To conclude, doing charity work is good. We can be a better person!

It is good to have a part-time job. Firstly, we can get extra pocket money.
Next, we can also learn new things. We learn to be responsible. Besides, we get
new experience. We can also get new friends.
When I have extra pocket money, I want to buy a ring for my girlfriend,
Mina. I can buy a RM10 ring at night market. I also want to buy a cheap teddy
bear for Mina. Maybe I also buy Mina a jacket at a bundle shop.
In conclusion, I know it is good to have a part-time job. Mina will be
happy and I am happy too.
