ASSEMBLING :

The CharaChorder is plug-and-play, so it doesn’t require


any additional software to work.In most cases , just plug
the CharaChorder into your device and it will work like
anyother keyboard.

The ChordManager, Auto Debugging and Auto


Translating works on their respective platforms, which
will be discussed in detail in the later part.

PC :
Plug your CharaChorder into avilable USB 2.0 OR 3.0
port.
Phone/Tablet :
Plug your CharaChorder into your into your Android
device using correct adapter such as USB-C/micro-Usb to
USB adapter.
Or the USB can be can also be connected with OTG cable,
which can be later connected to any micro ports.

After successful connection,The phrase “CharaChorder is
ready” would be displayed, wherever the cursor is.

TYPING USING CHARACHORDER :

CharaChorder is a peripheral device that has 18 silver like


knobs, with each knobs having 4 different characters
embedded with them in different directions.
Typing using CharaChorder is similar to playing with a
Joystick.
Move your fingers accordingly to the word or to the
chord to display the actual word.
Eg:
To type word “PDF”.
 Use the Right Middle Knob.
 Push the Knob to the top to type “P”
 Then , push the knob down to type “D”
 Finally, push the knob left to type “F” and release
the finger.

CHORDING USING CHARACHORDER :


One of the main features of CharaChorder is
CHORDING, with which one can type up to 500wpm.

Similar to music, Chording is the action of pressing set


of keys at once, to display a word or even a sentence.
CharaChorder provides, 20 pre-built chords and a
billion combinations of keys to have Customized
Chords.
Eg:
To type “System.out.println()”, just typing “Syso” will
autofill the entire text, instead of typing the entire
word.
To actually have the word “Syso” to be displayed and
not its chorded value, you can avoid auto filling by
pressing Backspace.
CUSTOMIZING CHORDS:
 Open “charaChorder.notation.site.us” website
from Chromium based Browser like Brave.
 Connect your device with ChordManager , by
pressing the “Connect” icon.
 Tap on “ADD_CHORDS_MAP” section to add
Customized chords.

 Under the “ADD_CHORD_MAP” section


o Type your Customized chord in the
“NEW_CHORD” box.
o Type the chorded value in the “EDIT_CHORD”
box.
o “Record the key movements and upload it to
the “EDIT_CHORD” section.
o Save all the changes by pressing “COMMIT”
icon.
 Chords will added to CharaChorder if no similar
Chords are already present in your
“CHORD_MANAGER”
 Tap on “CHORDS_LIBRARY” to view, edit or
delete your “EXISTING CHORDS”.
AUTO DEBUGGING AND TRANSLATING TEXTS:
a)
Debugging is no more IDE based.
CharaChorder can also debug your programming with the
help of debugging tool.
To enable the debugging feature,
 Connect your CharaChorder with the Internet.
 Press “ctrl+Esc” to enter Programming mode.
 Type the language that you are working with, in the
prompt.
CharaChorder will download Debugging tool from the
internet or from the GitHub sources, and stores it in the
“Permanent memory” and “Dynamic memory”.
To exit the current mode press “Esc”

Though CharaChorder is only available with English
alphabets, it is possible to type in other languages too.

To enable the Translating feature,


 Press “shift+Esc” to enter Translating mode.
 Enter the language that you to type in, in the
prompt.

Using Neural Machine Translation and Deep learning


processing, CharaChorder will translate the given English
text to the desired language.

TROUBLESHOOTING :
 Can’t connect CharaChorder in Android Phone.
CAUSES:
!Android version is not supported.
!Faulty connection with USB port.

REMEDY:
!Suggested to have Android version of 9.0 and
above.
!Try using OTG cable.
 Can’t add new Chords.
CAUSES:
!Repetition of same/similar chords.
!Not saving the edited chord.

REMEDY:
!Avoid using anagrammed chords.
!Save all the changes by pressing commit icon.

 Errors occur after debugging.


CAUSES:
!Presence of futile codes in Debugging tool.

REMEDY:
!Try deleting the installed Debugging tool and
manually download another one.

FAQs:
 Is CharaChorder compatible with other languages?
In short, the answer is no. In brief, one can type
in any preferred language by typing its English
equivalent text, which will be auto translated by
the NML and DLP.
 Is CharaChorder compatible with other operating
systems?
CharaChorder is compatible with macOS,
windows, Linux, IOS, and android.
It is not a platform dependent device.

 Does the device need to be connected to a network?


For typing using a CharaChorder, internet
connection is not required. But to work with
ChordManager and installing Debugging tool, an
active internet connection is expected.

 Will I run out of memory to store the chords the


tools?
No. CharaChorder has a memory space about 16
Exa Byte(EB).
Each chord will occupy memory of 8byte.
So, it is almost next to impossible to run out of
memory.
