Task description (GRASPS)

Goal: To adopt an element and understand its properties and their uses. This will also guide the
teacher evaluate the student’s understanding and challenges.
Role: You are a promoter working in an advertisement agency researching about elements and
their uses.
Audience: Your school community
Situation: You need to prepare an advertisement poster with details to promote your element
Product or Performance: An A4 sized advertisement poster and filled worksheet
Standards for success: You will be evaluated according to Criteria D (Reflecting on the impact
of Science – Communication)

ATL skills: Information literacy – Research skills.

Your poster should be A4 sized and include the atomic mass/ mass
number, atomic number, symbol and name, slogan, cost for one
gram, and your name.
