Year End DRRM Report

Villa Paz Elementary School conducted various disaster risk reduction and management (DRRM) activities throughout the school year to promote safety and preparedness. The activities involved students, teachers, and parents and focused on survival skills, safety protocols, and conducting earthquake and typhoon drills. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, the school was able to successfully hold these important training exercises. Documentation was submitted to the Division of Quezon to report on the earthquake drills and provide situational updates during typhoons using the DepEd RADAR app. The conducted activities helped ensure the school community was prepared to face natural hazards and minimize related risks.

SDRRM YEAR END ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT


FOR S.Y 2021-2022

I. INTRODUCTION
The school has been a basic foundation of survival skills. The challenges of nature are
unpredictable, so we must be ready at all times.

That is why we encourages and promotes to all learners to participate in all school
activities regarding safety protocol and survival skills taught by the DRRM focal person.

II. RATIONALE

Floods, tropical cyclones, and major earthquakes, though not always as destructive, are
the deadliest and costliest of hazards. The most terrible consequences are deaths and
injuries in schools. There are schools that are unusable because of damages, their
prolonged use as shelters, having unsafe access, the loss of equipment and materials,
or lack of teachers are some effects of hazards which can hinder children to achieve
their goals.

The accompanying risks from natural hazards could be determined by the structural
integrity of school buildings; awareness and capacity of teachers and students;
geographic location of schools; population distribution; and institutional support, among
others.

III. CONDUCTED ACTIVITIES.


The activities conducted by the school involve the participation of parents,
teachers, and students. despite the pandemic they are willing to join in all activities. the
pictures below are the documentation of the activities conducted by the school.
