Explain futher:
1. Effective teaching is the primary duty of a professional teacher.
The primary duty of a teacher is to teach students so that they can prepare for their path that
should be choosing in the near future. But teaching is not an easy job because some students
can’t understand teaching that is why some students have difficulties to catch up. So being a
Professional Teacher every lesson and topic should be taught effectively to students so that
students can catch up to the lesson and learn without having difficulties.

2. The Filipino Teacher is considered as a professional. She/He is expected to:

A. Technically competent
B. Highly ethical
C. Has superior IQ

Filipino Teacher should have a technical competency that is learned through the years of
spending time on a learning or educational environment. A teacher should have those traits so
that a class have a functional learning, A teacher should instruct students with clear and concise
instructions (Instructional Delivery), he/she must give them an activity or quiz after discussing so
that will determine if they learn and absorbed your lessons (Formative Assessment) and a teacher
should lead and discipline the order of the class this can help students to listen and urge to learn
(Classroom Management). Teachers also need to become High ethical and moral, as a teacher
you are the second parents of the students, parents should become their role model so as the
second parents of the students, teachers must have good morals so the students will follow you as
the model of being a good person in the future. Teachers should have superior IQ, they should
have high memory level, understanding level and reflective level, so that if the students don’t
understand a lesson you can explain it to them with ease, and make them understand it in a
simple way by reflecting it to real life events and experiences of the students.

3. Professionalism is the hallmark of a teacher.

Professionalism as the hallmark of a teacher means a teacher should “live with dignity”,
“premium on self-respect and self-discipline”, “model, worthy of emulation”. It is
important to a teacher to live with dignity, a life with dignity is to make an honest effort
and support the legitimate policies of a school their private opinions and personal feeling
should help it carry them out. A teacher shall place premium upon self-discipline as the
primary principle of personal behaviour in all relationships with others and in all
situations. Teachers should have self-discipline at all times so that it can’t affect your
image as a teacher with bad reputation. A teacher should be a model, worthy of emulation
so that students and other members of the institution can follow you as their model with
the good influence you give them. Teachers need this characteristics to be called a
Professional because it is part of Professionalism and it is the Hallmark of teaching.
