Module 1

. Moral vs. Non-moral Standards

Questions:

1.When do we say then that an act is moral or non-moral? (10 points)

 We can say that an act is a moral action if a person chooses to be good instead of being bad, on
the other hand non-moral, by judging a what is good or bad, right or wrong in a non-moral
manner.

2.Do you feel free in making moral decisions? Explain. What is the significance of freedom in moral
decisions? (10 points)

 Yes, i think i am in the right age and free to make my own decision.Freedom is important in
moral decisions because people are free to do good things. People are free to do things that are
good for everyone. If there is no freedom to do good things, what will happen in the world?

3.Enumerate the Seven-step Moral Reasoning Model. Explain these steps briefly and relate it to your
real life experiences in making moral decisions.(10 points)

 STOP AND THINK

Before you decide, make sure you think about it carefully, make sure it is good for you or those
around you.

Before i make a decision or do an action, I will think that carefully,Whether the action I take will be
good for me and those people around me.

 CLARIFY GOALS
Clarify your goals with details of exactly what you want.Think carefully about what your goal
really is.
In my situation,I'm still really having a hard time figuring out what my goal in life is ,I'm clarifying
first if that goal will good for me.

 DETERMINE FACTS
To determine the facts, resolve first what you know, then what you need to know
Before i choose a course, I've gathered information first, before i choose.

 DEVELOP OPTIONS

Once you know what you want to achieve, make a actions to accomplish your goals.

I have many wants or goals in life that I want to achieve someday, so i will take action without
stepping on anyone else so that I can achieve my goal.

 CONSIDER CONSEQUENCES
You need to identify who will be affected by the decision and how the decision is likely to affect
them.
When I was a child I was always bullied, I always thought about how I would get revenge on
them because I always thought that I didn't care if what I did would affect them because at first
they didn't think about how I felt.I don't care what the consequences of what I did will be.but as
far as my imagination goes, my pity for them is more important than my anger,I just think that
they are not as strong as I am that no matter how much they bully me I can handle but they are
not.

 CHOOSE.MAKING A DECISION.
If you are having a hard time to make or to clear your decision try to talk to someone who have
experience like yours.
When I have a hard time making a decision, I approach my mother or people who have
already experienced what I am going through.

 MONITOR AND MODIFY

Ethical decision-makers monitor the effects of their choices.
I graduated from high school, this is one of my achievements.I chose to graduate because I
wanted to and i trust my self that i can.The good thing I did despite all the struggles. I just
prayed. I trusted in God's plan, so maybe I'm still standing strong because of God. So now that
I'm in college,I knew I would still have a hard time, but I'll still pray to God and trust in his plans
and trust my self more.
