This document provides a welding procedure specification for manual welding repair of carbon steel piping and related facilities at the NAWARA GAS TRETMENT PLANT. It specifies gas tungsten arc welding and shielded metal arc welding using filler metals ER70S-3 and E7018 to weld butt joints with a 30-35 degree bevel and 2-4mm gap in the 1-6mm and 5-42.88mm thickness range. Welding parameters are provided for root, hot, fill and cap passes in all positions using argon gas and DC polarity. Post weld heat treatment at 620C for 1 hour is also specified.
