English, no matter where they fall in a sentence because they endow

4.1 Introductory Activity

Instructions: The teacher will give words for the students to spell.

Identify the given words whether it is a noun or not.

 Motivation
The teacher will present a short story.

One day, Jessa planned to go to the Luneta park with her pet dog. As they
walked, they saw a vendor selling colorful balloons. When they arrived Jessa
and her dog played catch the ball. Everything was fine and it was a fun day.
Ask: 1. What is the name of the girl in the story?
2. Where did Jessa go?
3. Who is with Jessa?
4. What did Jessa and her dog see as they go along the park?

4.2 Activity Using the given words, the teacher will let the students group based on their
observations.

4. How do we call nouns that are all in small letter? (Common Noun)

Noun is a name of person, place, animals, thing or certain events.
A proper noun is a specific name (i.e., not generic]) for a particular person,
place, animals or thing. Proper nouns are always capitalized in English, no

name, they are also sometimes called proper names.

4.5 Application  Group activity
A. The students will be divided into 3 groups. They are going to identify the
given words whether it is a Proper Noun or Common Noun. Raise PN if it is a
Proper Noun and CN if it is a Common Noun.

B. Each group will construct a sentence using the following words.
