UNIT 3: INDUSTRIAL VISIT (35%) You are required to carry out an industrial visit in groups of 5 - 6. Complete the following tasks for this assignment: Part 1 (20%) As a group, identify a successfully person to be interviewed. Prepare the interview questions. Organize a group industrial visit. Conduct the interview on site. In pairs, write a review on the interview & visit. Sample headers: Introduction to En. Wahid bin Junid and his workplace (include personal academic achievements) Daily Routines at the Workplace Problems/Challenges Encountered & Problem Solving Solutions Tips/Advice for the Road to Success Conclusion (Your opinion/ Feedback on the interview) Appendices (e.g. pictures taken on site) 6. Deadline for submission of Assignment: Week 10 (3rd 7th October 2011)

Part 2 (15%) 1. As a group, prepare an A2 size (420mm x 594mm) magazine cover on a mounting board which features the successful person that you interviewed as the cover story. You will be required to explain the cover in a group presentation. Your presentation should be approximately 10-15 minutes. 2. Please note that the presentation should be short, interesting and clear. 3. Every member of the group has to present a part of the topic. 4. Marks will be awarded individually based on: your knowledge on the topic clarity of the speech and ideas appropriateness of vocabulary eye contact & confidence grammar & sentence structure originality & attire.
