I. Corps Traditions

 Traditions on Leadership

1. Squad Leader’s Time


a. Significance of tradition: This is a program wherein the squad
leaders talk to their squad mates regarding their status in
Academics, Tactics, Conduct and other matters pertaining to the
well-being of the Cadets.
b. Purpose of tradition: This is to monitor the status of the members of
the squad in terms of Academics, Tactics and Conduct.
c. Scope of Implementation: Members of the Squad.
d. Manner of implementation: The Second Class Squad Leaders will
talk to their underclassmen if they have problems in the above-
mentioned fields and give advices and suggestions for them to
improve and develop.
e. Limitations: Exclusive for the members of the Squad.
f. Duration: Every evening starting from 2130 H to 2145 H.

2. Platoon Leader’s Time


a. Significance of tradition: A time for the Platoon Leader to talk with
the members of his platoon, asking for problems and concerns and
coming up with solutions to those problems through group planning
and interaction.
b. Purpose of tradition: It is done to monitor the progress of the
members of the platoon. It is also a time where the cadets can say
their concerns and problems openly to their Platoon Leaders.
c. Scope of Implementation: Exclusive for the Members of the
Platoon.
d. Manner of implementation: The platoon Leader will set a date and
place where he/she will meet the members of his platoon.
e. Limitations: Members of the platoon.
f. Duration: To be specified by the Platoon Leader upon the approval
of the Company Commander and the Company Tactical Officer.

3. Company Commander’s Time


a. Significance of tradition: It is a time where all the members of the
company have a gathering and interaction with each other through
the supervision of the Company Commander.
b. Purpose of tradition: For the Company Commander to talk to his
subordinates giving updates about the Company and monitor their
respective standings in academic and non-academic fields and for
him to relay his instruction for the betterment of the Company.
c. Scope of Implementation: Members of the Respective Company.
d. Manner of implementation: The company commander sets a date
where he can meet his subordinates. There will be agendas that
will be discussed and the members of the company will talk to each
other and think for a way on what is the best thing to do in that
certain agenda.
e. Limitations: Members of the Company.

f. Duration: 1-2 hours twice a month.

4. Battalion Commander’s Time


a. Significance of Tradition: A time designated for the Battalion
Commander to meet with his subordinates and talk about matters in
his respective Battalion.
b. Purpose of tradition: The Battalion Commander will talk to his
subordinates and ask for the report from his Company Commanders
about the status of the members of the battalion.
c. Scope of Implementation: Members of the Battalion.
d. Manner of Implementation: On a specified date the Battalion
Commander will talk to his subordinates openly in order for him to
know the problems that needs to be addressed.
e. Limitations: Members of the Battalion.
f. Duration: 1-2 hours or be specified by the Tactical Officer of the
Day.

5. Regimental Commander’s Time


a. Significance of the Tradition: A time for the 1 st Captain to talk to all
the members of the Cadet Corps.
b. Purpose of the tradition: The 1 st Captain will discuss important
matters to the member of the Corps to include reminders and
directives given by the Director, PNPA, Commandant of Cadets and
any other Officers concerned.
c. Scope of Implementation: Members of the Cadet Corps .
d. Manner of Implementation: The first captain will set a date where
he will meet the members of the Cadet Corps. He will talk to them
and answer questions, relay orders and give some reminders that
will help the Corps to improve and develop.
e. Limitations: Members of the Cadet Corps .
f. Duration: 1-3 hours or be specified by the Tactical Officer of the
Day.

6. Reporting System
a. Significance of tradition: The underclass cadets will report to the
upper class during free time or during open call to quarters for some
notices, advices, concerns and instruction.
b. Purpose of tradition: For the underclass to have an interaction with
the upper class who is not a member of his/her squad. Reporting
System is not only intended for giving of disciplinary measures to
cautioned under class men, but for the upper class men to call the
attention of the underclass and make him report to him for
guidance, advice, and additional learning.
c. Scope of Implementation: Under class Cadets.
d. Manner of implementation: The underclass men must seek
approval from his Squad Leader, Platoon Leader, and Company
Commander before reporting to an upper class who is not a
member of his squad.
e. Limitations: Any cadet is not allowed to report to an upper class of
the opposite sex.

f. Duration: During Open Call to Quarters.

7. Kings and Queens of The Barracks


a. Significance of tradition: The new cadets/plebes will be the one to
take charge in the Cadet Corps during the break of the upper class
wherein they can enhance their own leadership skills in leading the
Cadet Corps, their own selves and their classmates even in the
absence of the upper class men.
b. Purpose of tradition: It is done in order for the new cadets to apply
their learnings after few months stay in the academy, leading the
Cadet Corps.
c. Scope of Implementation: New Cadets/Plebes.
d. Manner of implementation: The New Cadets will take post on the
major duty of the Cadet Corps like being the Cadet Officer of the
Day and Cadet Officer of the Guards. The new cadets will exercise
their leadership while the upper class is on break and it will also be
one of the bases of the upper class if the New Cadets are ready to
join the Grand Fraternity of men.
e. Limitations: The new cadets must still abide with the rules and
regulations of the academy even if there is no upper class watching
over them.
f. Duration: During Break.

 Traditions on Celebrations

8. Countdown
a. Significance of tradition: A tradition conducted to count the
remaining days of events such as Birthdays, Christmas or breaks.
b. Purpose of tradition: It is a way to boost the morale of the cadets
thinking that there are only days left before the special event.
c. Scope of Implementation: All members of the Cadet Corps .
d. Manner of implementation: The underclass cadets will chant the
countdown while proceeding to mess or after singing a YOHOO-
YOHOO in the morning.
e. Limitations: Countdown will start 10 days prior to that certain event
but for the countdown of the Graduation of the Ruling Class it will
start by the time the Lighting of the Giant Star begun.
f. Duration: 5-10 mins .

9. YOHOO-YOHOO
a. Significance of tradition: Serenading an upperclassman, giving of
birthday or congratulation cards usually as countdown. Done
on Reveille.
b. Purpose of tradition: Tradition done for the first-class cadets making
them feel how the underclass appreciates all the things that they
have taught to them.
c. Scope of Implementation: First Class cadets .
d. Manner of implementation: The underclass will sing 3-4 songs early
in the morning. After the singing of song, the upper class will be

bought outside the dormitory where he/she will be poured out with
cold water.
e. Limitations: Done 10 days prior to his/her birthday
f. Duration: 5-10 mins.

10. Birthday Bash


a. Significance of tradition: A day where the Cadet Corps celebrates
the birthday celebrant for the month.
b. Purpose of tradition: For the cadets to realize that they have a
family inside the Academy and for them to feel that even if they are
far from their family, they can have a special birthday celebration.
c. Scope of Implementation: Members of the Cadet Corps.
d. Manner of implementation: It is done inside the Mess hall where the
celebrants will be given cakes and birthday cards and will be
serenaded by a live performance of the PNPA Cadet Combo.
e. Limitations: Only done once every month.
f. Duration: During Evening mess till 08:00 pm only.

11. Ceremonial Handshake


a. Significance of tradition: A handshake given from those who were
left behind to the New Lieutenants of the Tri-Bureau.
b. Purpose of tradition: To show appreciation to the new Lieutenants
and Inspectors for their sacrifices that they have rendered for their
underclass men and to the Cadet Corps.
c. Scope of Implementation: New Lieutenants and Inspectors.
d. Manner of implementation: After the graduation rites, all the
members of the Cadet Corps will form a line from SAF Monument to
the Cadet Affairs Office to congratulate the New Lieutenants and
Inspectors of the Tri-Bureau.
e. Limitations: Only done after graduation .
f. Duration: Done for 45 minutes.

 Traditions on Courtesy

12. Courtesy Calls During Break


a. Significance of tradition: Cadets on break will have to report to the
different offices of PNP, BJMP and BFP. The Cadets will be given
the privilege to talk to the LAKANS and LAKAMBINIS, give them
updates about the Academy and have some time to bond with their
upper class men.
b. Purpose of tradition: For the LAKANS and LAKAMBINIS to know
that there are Cadets in their area of responsibility and that they
could give security to the Cadets. For the LAKANS and
LAKAMBINIS to interact with the Cadets, give them advices on how
to act and move differently in the outside world and also it is the
time for the upper class men to ask what is the current status of the
Academy.
c. Scope of Implementation: LAKANS, LAKAMBINIS and Cadets.
d. Manner of implementation: The Cadets will report to the nearest
station and inform their presence in that area.

e. Limitations: The cadets shall not follow any unauthorized
commands from their upper class men such as but not limited to:
 Drinking Alcohol
 Smoking
 Driving
 Going to unauthorized places specified in the PNPA
Cadet Guide
f. Duration: During Breaks.

 Traditions on Academics

13. Observance of Review Week and Exam Week


a. Significance of tradition: The academics standing is one of the
primary concerns of the Cadets that’s why it is given a special
period of time where all you need to do is to study your lesson.
b. Purpose of tradition: To give ample time for the Cadets to study
their lessons for the upcoming Examination.
c. Scope of Implementation: All members of the Cadet Corps.
d. Manner of implementation: There will be no road runs, field drills
and inspection. The time will be converted for study period and will
let the Cadets study their lessons. New Cadets will be given the
temporary at ease status for them to study their lessons
comfortably.
e. Limitations: Observance of review week will be cancelled if there will
be a special event inside the Academy.
f. Duration: Two weeks prior to the Examination Date.

14. Showcasing of Talents


a. Significance of tradition: To promote the talents of the members of
the Cadet Corps.
b. Purpose of tradition: To show that the Cadets do not only excel in
Tactics and Academics but they also have individual talents that they
can be proud of.
c. Scope of Implementation: Members of the Cadet Corps.
d. Manner of implementation: Cadets will be given the time to perform
during special occasions and programs inside the Academy and even outside
if necessary.
e. Limitations: The Cadet’s talents must still follow the rules and regulations
in the Academy. The Cadet’s talent must not give any negative effect in the
image of the Academy.
f. Duration: Set by the Cadet Affairs Office.

II. Company Traditions
A. Alfa Company Traditions

 Traditions on Leadership

1. Model Cadet
a. Significance of tradition: This is a program wherein one cadet
from within the company will be chosen as the “Model Cadet of
the Month”.
b. Purpose of tradition: This is to inspire every member of Cadet
Corps to excel more in every aspects of their cadetship.
c. Scope of Implementation: All members of the Alfa Company.
d. Manner of implementation: It will be based on the monthly
reports of their Academics, PFT and Aptitude test complied by
the First-Class Cadets of the company. Demerits and merits are
also included as basis of this award. His/her picture will be
posted in the “Wall of Fame” in the dormitory to serve as a
model and an inspiration to other Cadets.
e. Limitations: All members of the Alfa Company.
f. Duration: Prelims, Midterm, and Finals of both First and Second
Semester of the Academic year. The model cadet is being
announced every last day of the Month.

2. Best Squad
a. Significance of tradition: This serves as an acknowledgement
of the performance of a squad and the squad leader of the Alfa
company.
b. Purpose of tradition: This will motivate the members of a squad
to do their best in both academics and non-academics.
c. Scope of Implementation: All members of the Alfa Company.
d. Manner of implementation: The basis of this award are the
following:
 Academic performance of the week: Based on the latest
update of grades (Deficient cadets are automatically

disqualified) and Cadets of highest average on the latest
update;
 Results of PFT;
 No grave caution for the week;
 Aptitude rating from the 1st class cadets to all underclass;
and
 A picture of the “Best Squad” will also be posted in the Wall
of Fame.
e. Limitations: All members of the Alfa Company.
f. Duration: This award will be given every Sunday of the week.

3. Best Platoon
a. Significance of tradition: This serves as an acknowledgement
for the performance of every platoons of the Alfa Company.
b. Purpose of tradition: This will motivate the members of a
platoon to do their best in both academics and non-academics.
c. Scope of implementation: All members of the Alfa Company.
d. Manner of implementation:
 This award is given every Sunday of the week to the platoon
of the Alfa Company which has the greatest number of
proficient cadets when it comes to their Physical Fitness
Test (PFT) and Academic Grades and the Platoon which
has the least number of awarded demerits.
 A printed table of recorded performance of each member of
the platoon will be submitted by the Platoon Leaders to the
Alfa Company Commander or the Alfa Executive Officer for
Operations before 0800H of every Sunday.
 The best platoon will be announced in front of all members
of the company right after the evening prayer of Sunday.
 A picture of the “Best Platoon” will also be posted in the Wall
of Fame.
e. Limitations: All members of the Alfa Company.
f. Duration: This award will be given every last Sunday of the
Month.

4. Acceptance Night
a. Significance of tradition: This will be the initial activity before the
recognition night. A night where the new cadets will be accepted
as a member of the Upper-class Corps.
b. Purpose of tradition: This will test the 4 th Class Cadets of the
Alfa Company whether or not they are ready for recognition.
This is designed in order for the new cadets to treasure their
final moments as plebes before acquiring the greatest
handshake of recognition from their upper class men.
c. Scope of implementation: All members of the Alfa Company.
d. Manner of implementation: A night of series of massive
authorized exercise such as sit ups, push ups, squat thrust, etc.
from 07:00 pm to 10 pm to be supervised by the Upper-Class
men of the Alfa Company. After this activity the 4 th Class Cadets
will have an “at ease” status and may enjoy the privilege of an

upper-class man such as open collar, abolishing of 10 counts
and other privileges that the 1st Class men of the Alfa Company
may give.
e. Limitations: All members of the Alfa Company.
f. Duration: This will be done a week before the said Recognition
rites of the 4th Class Cadets.

5. Bunkie System
a. Significance of tradition: A Bunkie is considered as a “best
friend” or a “buddy” of a cadet.
b. Purpose of tradition: This tradition is implemented is to
strengthen the relationship between an underclass man and
his/her upper-class man. It will also fall into a close in
supervision by the Upper-class to his underclass.
c. Scope of implementation: All members of the Alfa Company
d. Manner of implementation:
 A first-class cadet may choose from the third-class
cadets while the second class may choose from his/her
squad mate from the fourth class.
 The Upper-class men may authorize his Bunkie to enter
his room for the purpose of teaching him in everything
that he needs in order to improve his performance as a
cadet.
 The underclass man may open-up his personal concerns
to his upper-class man.
 The “Bunkie” of each class may help his “Bunkie” in
preparing his things when necessary or during the
absence of his/her Bunkie.
 The underclass man may also stay to his upper-class
man’s room during study periods.
e. Limitations: All 1st Class and 2nd Class can choose their
“Bunkie”. Necessary assistance may be done by both of the
upper-class and Underclass “Bunkie”. However, personal
servitude should not be tolerated and should be reported.
f. Duration: A cadet may be considered as “Bunkie” of a cadet until
his/her upper-class Bunkie graduated.

 Traditions on Cadets Discipline

6. Mass Authorized Punishment


a. Significance of tradition: This serves as a reminder for the
underclass men and to help them improve in everything they do
inside the academy.
b. Purpose of tradition: This is being implemented to help the
underclass men realize the caution they had committed and
whenever they had displayed a lousy performance. It will also
help to prevent them from repeating such.
c. Scope of implementation: All members of the Alfa Company
d. Manner of implementation: A night of series of massive
authorized exercise such as sit ups, push ups and other

exercises that will not violate the rules and regulations of the
academy.
e. Limitation: Exclusive for the members of the Alfa Company.

 Traditions on Celebration

7. Birthday Celebration
a. Significance of tradition: This tradition is given to every member
of the company who is celebrating his/her natal day.
b. Purpose of tradition: This is to boost the morale of the Birthday
Celebrant of every member of the Company.
c. Scope of implementation: All members of the Alfa Company
d. Manner of implementation:
 The squad of the birthday celebrant will prepare a
“YOHOO-YOHOO” and a simple presentation for the
cadet.
 After the singing for the Celebrant, the underclass men
will carry the celebrant and move him around within the
first floor of the LAKAN 1. All the members of the Alfa
Company may tickle the celebrant.
 The squad of the celebrant may also prepare food which
are authorized by the TOD or food which came from the
Company’s boodle bar.
 The members of the Alfa Company may pour water on
the celebrant to show that they had participated in his/her
celebration.
e. Limitations: All members of the Alfa Company
f. Duration: This may be done from 0400H to 0500H of the
Birthday of every cadet celebrant.

B. Bravo Company Tradition

 Traditions on Identity
1. New bald haircut
o Significance of the Tradition: The incoming 1st class cadets shall
have their haircut like the Slow Drill aspirant to remind them of their
hardship and trials encountered during their underclass years.
o Purpose of tradition: for them to be reminded to do the best they can
in their last months in the academy.
o Scope of implementation: 1st class cadets
o Manner of Implementation: The incoming 1st class cadets shall have
their haircut like the Slow Drill aspirant.
o Limitations: Members of the CCPNPA

2. Kiss the bull


a. Significance of the Tradition: It is a tradition in which a member of
the company is being welcomed to the braves of the corps.
b. Purpose of tradition: To welcome the new cadets in the company.
c. Scope of implementation:4th class cadets
d. Manner of Implementation: All new cadets will kiss the bravo bulls at

the LUKLUKAN PARK.
e. Limitations: Members of the CCPNPA
f. Duration: after incorporation rites.

3. Bravo Company Acceptance Night


a. Significance of tradition: This will be the initial activity before the
recognition day. A night where the new cadets will be accepted as a
member of the Upper-class Corps, designed in order for the new
cadets to treasure their final moments as plebes before acquiring the
most treasured handshake of recognition.
b. Purpose of tradition: for the new cadets to treasure their hardship
and
sacrifices during their plebe hood days.
c. Scope of implementation: 4th class cadets.
d. Manner of Implementation: A night of series of massive authorized
exercise such as sit ups, push ups, that are allowed and not violating
any rules or provisions of the Cadet Guide.
e. Limitations: Members of the Bravo Company
f. Duration: 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm

 Traditions on Leadership

1. Class Project For Every Graduating Class


a. Significance of the Tradition: This is a program initiated by every
graduating class in the company. The project chosen must be
beneficial to the well-being of the underclass who will be left behind.
b. Purpose of tradition: It is a way of giving back something to the
company as a symbol of thanksgiving to the company. Moreover, this
project must be an image of excellency to be posted in the company as
a symbol of pride and honor made by the graduating class
c. Scope of implementation: Members of Charlie Company

d. Manner of Implementation: This project must be done or be performed
before the graduation day of the ruling class.
e. Limitations: Members of the CCPNPA
f. Duration: N/A

2. Model Cadet
a. Significance of the Tradition: It is a tradition that recognizes a cadet of
all classes whose member of the company that perform an exemplary
performance within the month.
b. Purpose of tradition: It being conducted every month for the purpose of
giving recognition as well as title for the outstanding cadet for his/her
performance either in the academics or non-academics as well as his
conduct for the other cadets to strive more to have this kind of title. In
addition, the cadet will be the role model of the company and will be
given a reward for his accomplishment in the company.
c. Scope of implementation: Members of Charlie Company.
d. Manner of Implementation: This tradition will be conducted every
month of the year to give cadets ample time to prove their worth to
become a model cadet of the company. Model Cadet will be given at
ease status and a recognition within the company and to have
privileges like weekend privileges, visitation, and etc.
e. Limitations: Members of the CCPNPA
f. Duration: For the whole month

3. Model Squad/Platoon
a. Significance of the Tradition: It is a tradition that recognizes a
squad/platoon whose member of the company that perform an
exemplary performance within the month.
b. Purpose of tradition: It being conducted every month for the purpose of
giving recognition as well as title for the outstanding squad/platoon for
their performance either in the academics or non-academics as well as
their conduct for the other squad to strive more to have this kind of title.
In addition, the squad leader and the platoon leader will also be given a
recognition for their leadership towards his subordinates
c. Scope of implementation: Members of Charlie Company
d. Manner of Implementation: The squad as well as platoon who have
many achievers will be given at ease status in the company and will be
recognized. Model Cadet will be given at ease status and a recognition
within the company and to have privileges like weekend privileges,
visitation, and etc.
e. Limitations: Members of the CCPNPA
f. Duration: For the whole month

 Traditions on Discipline

4. Reward and Punishment System


a. Significance of the Tradition: This tradition has been observed by the
members of the Charlie Company for them to internalize that there is
an equivalent recognition as well as punishment for their performance.

b. Purpose of tradition: Rewards are given to individual or by class in the
company whenever there is an achievement in any field or competitions
such as Buwan ng Wika, Intramurals, Deans/Commandants List, etc.
Punishment are also given to make the underclass realized that efforts
are fully not given and must be changed to achieve the goal of the
company.
c. Scope of implementation: Members of Charlie Company
d. Manner of Implementation: The Cadets who are achievers will be given
at ease status in the company and will be recognized. Punishment are
also given to cadets who violates rule such as basic authorized
exercises are given emphasis according to once fault or mistake.
Cadets violating rules will be given punishment in the form of
authorized exercises such as sit-up, push-ups, squat thrust, etc.
provided that all exercises are in accordance and does not violate any
provisions of the Cadet Guide.
e. Limitations: Members of the Charlie Company.
f. Duration:. from 7:00 pm until 10:00 pm.

 Traditions on Academics

5.Observance of At Ease Status for Academic Deficient Cadets


a. Significance of the Tradition: It is a way of giving the deficient cadet
time to work on his academic grades. This will be his/her time to study
and comply to the requirements needed in his academics.
b. Purpose of tradition: For the cadets to fully focus on their academic
grades and to deal with their deficient subjects, cadets having failure
grades will be given at ease status until they pass their subjects.
c. Scope of implementation: Members of Charlie Company
d. Manner of Implementation: Cadets will be given immediately at ease
status upon receiving the final grade given by the Regimental
Academic Chancellor and by the Academic Board Committee until the
last day of their removal examination
e. Limitations: Members of the CCPNPA
f. Duration: N/A

 Traditions on Celebration

6. YOHOO-YOHOO
a. Significance of the Tradition: It is a tradition in the cadet corps wherein
the underclass cadets would sing serenade songs followed lastly by the

them recognition for all of their sacrifices as the lowest mammal of the
cadet corps. As a reward, upper-class cadets will give their simple yet
meaningful handshake as brothers and sister of the cadet corps.

d. Manner of Implementation: Acceptance night will be conducted the
night before their recognition rites by performing massive authorized
exercises such as sit-ups, push-ups, and any other exercises given that
it will not break any rules and policies of the PNPA Cadet Guide.

1. O.C.A (One Commendable Act)


a. Significance of the Tradition: For the cadets to be aware of their
actions and be morally responsible to help in a simple way for the
company and for the corps.
b. Purpose of tradition: Is to continue the good deeds in relevance of
improving the personality traits of the cadets as an individual

d. Manner of Implementation: Cadets will at least perform one good
act, after the bible reading and evening prayer, two representatives
from every class will share the action that they performed.

2. Sagip PISO
a. Significance of the Tradition: For the members of the company to
render appreciation on the small things around them, that even a
penny can do something if gathered.
b. Purpose of tradition: That the collected coins or changed that can
be spare will be use for the modification, beautification of the
dormitory or to buy things that is needed by the company, it can
also be used as a contingency fund.

3. Reversed Servitude
a. Significance of the Tradition: Night before the recognition rites, the
upper class are the ones to prepare the Gala uniform of the 4 th
Class cadets. This is for the 4 th class cadets to feel that they are
welcome to the grand fraternity of men and the company already
recognize them as family.
b. Purpose of tradition: After months of becoming a plebe is now time
for the 4th class cadets to be recognize. This also shows how
important this event is not only for the 4 th class men but also for the
upper-class men.
c. Scope of implementation: 4th class cadets
d. Manner of Implementation: The third class of their respective squad
will prepare the things for their squad mates. From shining their
gala and shaku, ironing of their lower gala pants and brushing their
shoes.

a. Significance of the Tradition: Giving at ease status on the
underclass cadets as reward will motivate them to excel more and
will have a sense of self accomplishment that will help not only

achievers of the company will serve as a model to their fellow
cadets to excel in Academic and Non-Academic subject.

a. Significance of the Tradition: Earn not given, the Company Guidon
is the sacred symbol of the hardship, struggles, achievements and
victory of the company, as the 4 th class cadet before they can bear
its’ name, they must work hard to earn it.
b. Purpose of tradition: To strengthen the bond between the members
of the company and to show their love and loyalty to the company.
c. Scope of implementation: 4th class cadets

d. Manner of Implementation: The fourth- class cadets before
recognition will undergo series of massive exercises. The exercises
will be given in three sets and a repetition of 4 x 100 and a rest in
between sets this is done so that the upper- class man can pep talk
the fourth- class cadets and instill them the purpose of the said
tradition. The authorized exercises are as follows: Squat thrust,
mountain climbing, normal knuckle push- ups, wide push- ups and
diamond push- ups.

6. Wearing of short of 3rd Class cadets


a. Significance of the Tradition: This symbolizes their achievement
and that they deserve a privilege.
b. Purpose of tradition: This is for the incoming 2 nd Class cadets to
exercise their authority as a preparation for them to help the ruling
class in running the company.
c. Scope of implementation: 3rd class cadets
d. Manner of Implementation: After the summer training of the 3 rd
Class cadets, they will be allowed to wear shorts inside the
dormitory.

7. Class Project
a. Significance of the Tradition: Graduating Class are mandated to
have one project for the company before they graduate this is for
the ruling class to leave a legacy.
b. Purpose of tradition: To remember the good deeds of the ruling
class that will be followed by the next class.

d. Manner of Implementation: The graduating class of the company
will consolidate on a project that will be beneficial for the company
and will be use by the next succeeding classes.

8. Acceptance Night
g. Significance of tradition: This will be the initial activity before the
recognition night. A night where the new cadets will be accepted as
a member of the Upper-class Corps.
h. Purpose of tradition: This will test the 4 th Class Cadets of the Delta
Company whether or not they are ready for recognition. This is
designed in order for the new cadets to treasure their final moments
as plebes before acquiring the greatest handshake of recognition
i. Scope of implementation: New Cadets of the Delta Company
j. Manner of implementation: A night of series of massive authorized
exercise such as sit ups, push ups, and etc. from 07:00 pm to 10
pm to be supervised by the members of the Delta. After this activity
the 4th Class Cadets will have an “at ease” status and may enjoy the
privilege of an upper-class man such as open collar, abolishing of

in times of problems and for them to resolve immediately within their

o Manner of Implementation: Their bonding mostly done during joint
celebration of squad leaders time initiated by their respective squad

the cadet feel the importance of everyone natal day.

d. Manner of Implementation: When a member of Echo Company
celebrates his/her birthday he/she will receive a birthday cake
coming from the company while all other members will sing natal
song to him/her. Aside from that the first-class cadets will give “at

a. Significance of the Tradition: This tradition is observed to feel

all cadets will get the name of their Monito and Monita on the
designated box, all cadets must have their recipients disregard of
classes and will give their gifts once they see him/her after the

mind firm and strong despite of the challenges that will arise, this
will also strengthen their stability under pressure that the future
officer must possess.

 Traditions on Discipline

1. Saturday Fever

a. Significance of the Tradition: As a manner of instilling discipline to
shabby underclassmen who had been issued delinquency report during
the traditional Saturday Ranks and Barracks Inspection.
b. Purpose of the Tradition: As a cadet, everyone is expected to be
instilled with a discipline during training. The shabbiness that an
underclass will exhibit during the inspection is a clear indication of lack
of discipline. Thus, in the concept of reward and punishment rule, the
administration of massive authorized exercises will be given to those
who had been issued delinquency report during the inspection.

2. Observance of Study and Review week

c. Scope of implementation: Members of the Foxtrot Company
d. Manner of Implementation: Cadets shall only focus on studying and
shall be allowed to use any review materials in possession that would
make them pass their grades.

a. Significance of the Tradition: It is the tradition in the Cadet
Corps wherein the underclass cadets would sing serenade
songs followed lastly by the natal song to the First-Class
cadets celebrating his/her birthday.
b. Purpose of tradition: The Academy recognizes the Birthday
celebrant and thus songs shall be sung to remember and uplift
the morale of the celebrant.
c. Scope of implementation: Members of the Foxtrot Company
d. Manner of Implementation: Cadets with guitar, piano and
other musical instruments gather to sing natal songs for the
birthday celebrant.

a. Significance of the Tradition: This tradition is designed to boost
the confidence of the 2nd class and 3rd class cadets and to build
their awareness of their bearing and their personal hygiene.

aware of their bearing and over-all physical appearance, it shall
be a requirement for the underclassmen to be strictly aware of
their appearance and bearing to serve as role model to the
underclassmen.
c. Scope of Implementation: Members of the Foxtrot Company
d. Manner of Implementation: A pageant consisting of 2 nd class and
3rd class male cadets showcasing their talents, prove their wit
and expose their hidden skills unknown to the members of the
company.
e. Limitations: Second Class and Third-Class Representatives per
squad.

5. Foxtrot Company Acceptance Night


a. Significance of the Tradition: Designed in order for the new
cadets to treasure their final moments as plebes before
acquiring the greatest handshake of the upper-class Corps
before the Recognition Day.
b. Purpose of tradition: Not only that the plebes shall be informed
that before acquiring something, one must work hard for it but
also, it shall be a way to develop the physical strength of each
cadet.
c. Scope of implementation: Members of the Foxtrot Company
d. Manner of Implementation: A night of series of massive
authorized exercises for a period from 7 pm to 10 pm such as sit
ups, push-ups, roll like a barrel and etc. that is 4X100 each
given that the exercises shall not violate any rules and
provisions of the Cadet Guide.

f. Duration: Conducted after Evening mess until 10pm.

6. Prayer before TAPS


a. Significance of the Tradition: The members of the
Company recognize that the Almighty dwells in all the
activity of the Cadet Corps and to remember and thank
God for surviving the day.
b. Purpose of tradition: The Company adheres to the PNPA vision
that with the aid of Almighty God the members of the company
shall develop its character as future public safety officer.
c. Scope of implementation: Members of the Foxtrot

d. Manner of Implementation: All Cadets shall proceed to the
center aisle upon announcement of the duty CCQ.

7. PALAKAS PROGRAM
a. Significance of the Tradition: The regular PFT being conducted
is essential in evaluating the physical condition of each cadet
and thus the Company’s “Palakas Program” shall be used to
ensure that each member of company is physically fit.
b. Purpose of tradition: The PFT is a non-academic activity which is
one of the basis for the dismissal and turnback of a cadet, and
that to prevent such the Palakas Program was develop.
c. Scope of implementation: Members of the Foxtrot Company
d. Manner of Implementation: The Palakas Program shall be
conducted at the center aisle for Cadets who fails in their
respective PFT, wherein they will perform 3 sets of; sit ups and
push-ups that is 4X50 each.
e. Limitations: Members of the CCPNPA
f. Duration Conducted before TAPS for a period of 1 hour and
30 minutes.

8. Physical Fitness Test for Overweight and Cadets who were unable
to cope up physically
a. Significance of the Tradition: A program designed to help
the overweight and those who cannot cope up to physical
activities to improve physical progress so that they will not fail to
physical fitness test.
b. Purpose of the Tradition: A cadet is expected to be a well-
rounded person who is physically and mentally fit. A cadet, who
are unable to maintain its physical fitness and body mass index
does not conform with the norms set in the cadet corps. Thus, as
a help, they will undergo programs to lose weight and to boost
their physical stamina and endurance to pass the physical
fitness test.
c. Scope of Implementation: Members of Foxtrot Company
d. Manner of Implementation: Physical exercises, Morning and
Afternoon runs and Gym Routines.

1. Achiever of The Month/Semester


a. Significance of Tradition: To Reward Cadets who perform exemplary
performance in any of the following areas. Academics, tactics, sports,
and other activities that brought forth pride to the company and to the
PNPA.

any areas of expertise they are in and enhance them through training,
thereby developing cadets’ self- esteem and self-reliance.
c. Scope of implementation: All members of Golf company
d. Manner of implementation: A cadet who has perform exemplary
performance and brought pride to the Company receives a first-class
status Where he is given the privileged to relax within the company.
Specially those who achieve dean’s list, commandant’s list and
Director’s list.
e. Limitations: Privileged is only observed within the Company. The Cadet
must join cadet corps activities.
f. Duration: 1 month from the time of the pronouncement of the
achievement attained.

2. Group Study
a. Significance of the Tradition: To conduct a productive and effective
group study during review and examination week for every class of Golf
Company.
b. Purpose of the Tradition: To promote Academic excellence within the
company and to avoid members of the company from being turn-back or
dismiss from cadetship due to academic deficiency.
c. Scope of Implementation: All members of Golf Company
d. Manner of Implementation: Each class are provided with a projector to
flash the topic to be discuss and have a group review regarding the
topic. A member of the class who has the expertise pertaining to a
certain subject will be the one to discuss the subject matter and entertain
clarifications and questions from his/her classmates. An upper-class
cadet may also intervene only when necessary or may have the
knowledge pertaining to the subject matter.
e. Limitation: Those that has difficulty in the subject matter and cannot
immediately catch up with the topic are tutored by one of his classmates
who are well versed on the subject, and those that has different learning
style may use handouts if they learn easily while reading written
instruments.
f. Duration: During ICTQ and open time on Saturdays and Sundays During
Review week and Examination week.

3. Golf Brotherhood
a. Significance of Tradition: To help the underclassmen in preparing their
uniforms and focus in the essence of the coming event
b. Purpose of Tradition: To build the bond and strong brotherhood of the
underclassmen and the upperclassmen and to boost the morale of every
member of the company
c. Scope of Implementation: All members of Golf Company
d. Manner of Implementation: Upper class cadets will be the one who will
prepare the uniform of the fourth classmen before their recognition day.
During the hop of the third-class cadets second class cadets will be the
one to prepare the uniform of the third-class cadets, and during the hop
of the second-class cadets, the first-class cadets will be the one to
prepare the uniform of the of the second class.

4. Turn Over of Bunot


a. Significance of Tradition: The cadet’s despite of having rigorous training
and exhausting academic hours shall have time for enjoyment and
treasure the moments with the company
b. Purpose of Tradition: To improve the wellbeing and morale of the cadets
c. Scope of Implementation: Golf Company
d. Manner of Implementation: All third-class cadets of Golf company shall
make a funny video of themselves or other aspects that will not exceed
10 minutes and not lower than 5 minutes. The winner will be given a
first-class status as an award until the graduation of the current ruling
class.
e. Limitation: Privileged is only observe in the company and It shall only be
present or performed by Third class cadets of Golf company.
f. Duration: Conducted on the third week of February. Effectivity until
graduation.

5. Gentleman’s Pass
a. Significance of the Tradition: This will serve as the motivational factors
for the underclass to strive more, study well and be the best that they
can be in order to become the next graduating class. To embrace the
reality for the graduating class and say goodbye to their friends and
brothers in the academy.
b. Purpose of Tradition: To remind them the grim struggles of cadetship
that they have been conquered during their cadetship. To give respect
and give thanks to the underclass that support, care and love them. And,
to treasure the last moment of their stay with the underclassmen.
c. Scope of Implementation: All members of Golf Company
d. Manner of Implementation: All underclass cadets shall form in front of
the dormitories up to the aisle of the floor of the company holding a pale
of water. The graduating class shall pass through every underclassman
and shall shake hands with them while being poured by water and will be
congratulate by their underclassmen for finishing their cadetship and
becoming a dashing gentleman and an officer of the tri-bureau.

exercise such as squat thrust, eight count push-ups, sit-ups and the like
provided that all exercise shall adhere to the rules and regulations of the
Cadet Guide, to be supervised by the upperclassmen of Golf Company.
After this activity the fourth-class cadets will have an “at ease” status to

a. Significance of Tradition: To Weekly administer rigorous physical exercises
to the members of the company who failed in the physical fitness test and
those who are obese.
b. Purpose of the Tradition: To strengthen the physical stamina and strength
of squad members especially those that failed in the physical fitness test
and are obese.
c. Scope of implementation: All members of Golf company.
d. Manner of implementation: After the physical fitness test a cadet who failed
in the said activity is being noted by the company commander and
therefore be subjected to the WEP including those that evidently obese.

1. Pep Talk Session


a. Significance: To give time to the underclass cadet/s to have a personal talk
with the upper-class man.
b. Purpose: To monitor the cadet’s concerns and problems.
c. Scope of limitation: Any underclass cadet.
d. Manner of implementation: The upper class and the underclass cadet will
have a personal talk to each other. The upper-class man will share his
knowledge and exploits. He will serve as an older brother to the underclass
man.
e. Limitation: It is conducted in a small group. No one is allowed to interfere
unless given permission.
f. Duration: This is done during open time/call.

2. PC Challenge
a. Significance: The underclass cadet must memorize and be
familiarized with the personal circumstances of his upper class.

man. This is a form of strengthening the bonds of the cadets.
c. Scope of limitation: All underclass cadets in the company.
d. Manner of implementation: The underclass cadets will be
surprisingly asked by the upper-class man to identify him. The

class.
e. Limitation: The underclass must primary memorize or identify the command

the cadets.

d. Manner of implementation: The company commander and his staff
will monitor the performance of the cadets in the company in the said
aspects. They will coordinate with the designated regimental officers and
other authorities that has significant roles in the said aspects. The company
commander will conduct meetings.
e. Limitation: The cadets who performed less in the said aspects will be
closely supervised by the squad leaders and the company officers the
company tactical officer will also be notified.
f. Duration: This is done regularly every semester.

III. Female Traditions

1. Females’ Time
a. Significance of the Tradition: This tradition is observed to have time to
talk and connect among fellow cadets.
b. Purpose of tradition: This is an event wherein all females gather
together, have time to be familiarized with each other, to be at ease
and to openly express themselves for the purpose of developing the
relationship of both upperclassmen and underclassmen
c. Scope of implementation: Female cadets
d. Manner of Implementation: We observe females time by company,
battalion and squad mates in our dormitory.
e. Limitations: Female cadets
f. Duration: 1-2 hrs.

2. Observance of Review/Exam Week


a. Significance of the Tradition: Observance of this tradition help cadets’
study with focus that would increase their chance to achieve high
remarks on their subjects.
b. Purpose of tradition: Observance of study period or review week to all
cadets especially to underclassmen to give them enough time to study
well.
c. Scope of implementation: Female Cadets
d. Manner of implementation: This is observed during close call to
quarters wherein cadets are in their respective rooms
e. Limitations: Members of the CCPNPA

3. Reward and punishment system

a. Significance of the Tradition: This encourages cadets to observe
proper decorum at all times and serve as a motivation to strive harder
in all activities in the cadet corps.
b. Purpose of tradition: Rewards are given to individual or by class in the
company whenever there is an achievement in any field or
competitions such as Buwan ng Wika, Intramurals, being a Dean’s or
Commandant’s list etc. The cadets who are achievers will be given at
ease status in the company and will be recognized. Punishment are
also given to make the underclass realized that efforts are fully not
given and must be changed to excel and achieved the goal of the
company. Punishments such as basic exercises are given with
emphasis according to once fault or mistake.

4. MAÑANITA
a. Significance of the Tradition: This tradition is the chance to
acknowledge, to remember, to celebrate and give thanks and to reflect
upon the birthday celebrant.
b. Purpose of tradition: This form of tradition is always done during the
birthday of the first-class cadets. This is one way of the underclassmen
to celebrate the natal day of the beloved upperclassmen, but when
doing this we always make sure that there would be no harm inflicted.
c. Scope of implementation: Female Cadets.
d. Manner of implementation: This is usually conducted on or about
0400H wherein cadets serenade their beloved upperclassmen in honor
of their birthday.
e. Limitations: Members of the CCPNPA

5. Prayer before TAPS


a. Significance of the Tradition: The prayer serves as remedy during
value crisis to uplift cadets and guide them with religious and
righteous practices.
b. Purpose of tradition: This is always done every night before observing
taps.
c. Scope of implementation: Female Cadets
d. Manner of implementation: This conducted on or about 2145H
wherein all cadets are gathered together to pray.
e. Limitations: Members of the CCPNPA.
f. Duration: 2145H-2200H

6. Buddy System
a. Significance of the Tradition: This would keep cadets informed about
key instructions and information, improves safety of the other,
improves communication and promotes better leadership skills.
b. Purpose of tradition: This is an arrangement in which two cadets are
paired, each responsible for the other’s safety.
c. Scope of implementation: Female Cadets
d. Manner of implementation: This must be observed at all times and
cadets who violates this regulation shall be punished accordingly.

7. Yohoo Yohoo
a. Significance of the Tradition: This tradition uplifts the morale of cadets.
b. Purpose of tradition: This tradition shows sentiment and good will that
can lift the cadet’s morale knowing that the giver cared enough to
remember an occasion.

personal and special that contains a message for an upperclass or

1. WHITE RUN
a. Significance of tradition: To prepare the Second-Class cadets
for the reception and serve as a Physical Exercise.
b. Purpose of tradition: Marks the Beginning of their journey as an
aspirant.
c. Scope of Implementation: Second Class Cadets
d. Manner of implementation: Series of Road Run and Knuckle
push up
e. Limitations: Selected members of the Second-class cadets
f. Duration: 4 -6 AM/ 4-5:30 PM

2. RECEPTION RITES
a. Significance of tradition: The day where you submit yourself to
the journey of an aspiring slow driller.
b. Purpose of tradition: The time when you are officially an aspiring
member of the Slow Drill Platoon.
c. Scope of Implementation: Second Class Cadets.
d. Manner of implementation: Roll from east to west, north to south
in the hollowed ground of the academy.
e. Limitations: Cadets who can no longer continue can quit freely.
f. Duration: 04:00 am- 06:00 am

d. Manner of implementation: Through Voting from the ruling class
e. Limitations: Will only be applicable to Slow Drill Aspirants
f. Duration: A week before 300 clubs

5. 300 CLUBS
a. Significance of tradition: Serves as the next phase of the
aspiring moments of the second-class cadets.
b. Purpose of tradition: The best to remain

the 300 clubs only the best will remain to be a part of the Slow
Drill Platoon
c. Scope of Implementation: Second Class Cadets
d. Manner of implementation: Knuckle Push Up
e. Limitations: Will only be applicable to Slow Drill Aspirants

7. MAIDEN PERFORMANCE
a. Significance of tradition: The maiden performance will be
performed during the Alumni Homecoming. After the maiden
performance, the Slow Drill Aspirants will be officially called

Slow Drillers. The maiden performance will also be their
recognition.
b. Purpose of tradition: Official Start as Performing Class for slow
drill
c. Scope of Implementation: Second Class Cadets
d. Manner of implementation: Slow Drill Performance

f. Duration: Depends on the given time of performance

8. THE LAST SALVO


a. Significance of tradition: A performance performed by the ruling
class a week before graduation.
b. Purpose of tradition: Last Performance
c. Scope of Implementation: First Class
d. Manner of implementation: Slow Drill Performance
e. Limitations: Slow Drill platoon Members of the Ruling class
f. Duration: Performance Time given stated in the program

B. Silent Drill Company Traditions


1. COLOR DISTRIBUTION
a. Significance of tradition: To determine the white and maroon
elements in the company.
b. Purpose of tradition: To create and establish the white and
maroon elements.
c. Scope of Implementation: This color distribution will be selected
by the 1st class silent drill supervisors after the reception rites
only.
d. Manner of implementation: The supervisors and the element
aspirants will designate or choose their colors.
e. Limitations: The elements should only have one color
designation.
f. Duration: This designation is done during the selection process.

2. OUTSIDE ENGAGEMENTS
a. Significance of tradition: To perform to be witnessed by the
audience or visitors.
b. Purpose of tradition: To showcase the academy and to entertain
the audience.
c. Scope of Implementation: The silent drill company is privileged
on the said engagements.
d. Manner of implementation: The silent drillers will perform
formations and dance with their rifles.
e. Limitations: The silent drill company will perform on a given
time, duration and place.
f. Duration: The duration of performance depends on the
formations.

3. RECEPTION RITES
a. Significance of tradition: This serve as an entrance in becoming
a silent driller. It is one of the phases in receiving a silent driller.

b. Purpose of tradition: This serve as a primary activity that will
show more hardships and dedication when they already belong
to the silent drill company.
c. Scope of Implementation: The silent drill aspirants are going to
participate in this reception rites.
d. Manner of implementation: The silent drill aspirants will roll over
in the hallowed ground while singing their class song. This is
supervised by the silent supervisors.
e. Limitations: The reception rites should only include rolling and
no other physical exercises or contact is going to be executed.
f. Duration: This activity will last for 1 hour.

4. SLASH/ DEMOTION
a. Significance of tradition: This is one of the rules in becoming a silent
driller. It will serve as a form of punishment to the driller who
committed a class 1 offense.
b. Purpose of tradition: To serve as an example to other drillers. To
maintain the discipline of a silent driller.
c. Scope of Implementation: This is only implemented within the silent
drill company and for those erring silent drillers.
d. Manner of implementation: The silent driller who incurred a class
one offense shall be slashed or demoted. He or she will become a
filler or he or she will lost his privilege to perform.
e. Limitations: The silent driller who committed a class one offense
will only serve this punishment.
f. Duration: This form of punishment will last until the driller served his
punishment tours.

5. PERFORMING CLASS
a. Significance of tradition: The performing class are the third class
cadets. They are to represent their class and the academy.
b. Purpose of tradition: The silent drillers of the third class cadets are
the performing class. They are the new standards of the cadet
corps.
c. Scope of Implementation: Only the third class silent drillers will be
the performing class of the academy.
d. Manner of implementation: The third class silent drillers will perform
to showcase the academy. They will be supervised by the 1 st class
men.
e. Limitations: Only the third class silent drillers are allowed to
practice and perform.
f. Duration: Their performing class will last until they will finish their
being a shearer.

6. PRE-RECOGNITION PERFORMANCE
a. Significance of tradition: This will serve as their nearing to the end
performance as the performing class.
b. Purpose of tradition: They will perform on the academy’s one of the
most significant event which is the lighting of the giant star. This will

serve as an evaluation if they could be recognized as silent drillers.
After their performance, they are now allowed to take pictures in
the silent drill monument.
c. Scope of Implementation: The performing class will perform on the
said event in front of the PNPA command group.
d. Manner of implementation: This is a performance inside the
academy with new innovation of formations.
e. Limitations: The performing class will perform with innovations with
time allotment.
f. Duration: They will perform only in the said activity or event.

7. RECOGNITION RITES
a. Significance of tradition: This is said to be the last performance of
the performing class.
b. Purpose of tradition: This is to perform their last performance
during the Alumni Homecoming to be witnessed by the LAKANS
and LAKAMBINIS. The performing class are now recognized as
silent drillers. They can now wear silent drill pins and enjoy
privileges.
c. Scope of Implementation: The silent drillers will perform at the
grandstand of the academy.
d. Manner of implementation: The silent drillers will perform in front of
the graduates of the academy.
e. Limitations: They will perform with lots of innovations and
formations.
f. Duration: They will perform on the said event.

8. THE LAST PERFORMANCE


a. Significance of tradition: To end the reign of the third class as the
performing class.
b. Purpose of tradition: To the pass the performing class to the
incoming third class silent drillers. To recognize the outgoing and
incoming performing class.
c. Scope of Implementation: This ceremony is done inside the
academy for the silent drillers of each class.
d. Manner of implementation: The recognized silent drillers of each
class will have a program. This is the turnover of responsibilities
between the graduating and incoming ruling class.
e. Limitations: The event is only for the recognized silent drillers of
each class.
f. Duration: This event will last for two to three hours.

C. Colors Tradition
1. SELECTION PROCESS
a. Significance of tradition: This is to select 3 rd Class and 4th Class
Cadets as a member of Colors and as a “Standards of the
Corps”.
b. Purpose of tradition: To produce strong Cadets to take post as
Color Guards and Color Corporals.

c. Scope of Implementation: 3rd Class and 4th Class Cadets
d. Manner of implementation: It will be based on their respective
heights specifically not lower than 5 feet and 8 inches. They are
called as “Color Aspirants” and preferably not a member of
Silent Drill Company. Based on their willingness on aspiring and
to be a member of Colors.
e. Limitations: 3rd Class and 4th Class Cadets
f. Duration: Starting 2nd Semester of being a 4th Class until the end
of the 1st Semester of being a 3rd Class Cadet.

2. BLACK GLOVES
a. Significance of tradition: This is the gloves that the only
members of Colors can use during drills and ceremonies.
b. Purpose of tradition: To have distinction between the “Standards
of the Corps” and to the rest of the Corps of Cadets.
c. Scope of Implementation: All members of Colors.
d. Manner of implementation: Among the Cadet Corps, members
of Colors only and the platoon leader of the “Slow Drill Platoon”
are allowed only touch and use it.
e. Limitations: All members of Colors.
f. Duration: From 4th Class until they graduated.

3. CHROME M14 RIFLE


a. Significance of tradition: As sign of respect from the National
Flag the Members of Colors use the best rifle in the Cadet
Corps.
b. Purpose of tradition: To show the greatest respect for the
National Flag.
c. Scope of Implementation: Members of the Colors.
d. Manner of implementation: During parades and Flag Raising the
colors will use the chromed M14 Rifle.
e. Limitations: Members of Colors.
f. Duration: During Parade and Reviews.

4. SACRED POLES
a. Significance of the Tradition: This tradition is observed by the
members of Colors and exist since the early days of the
academy. It is a tradition that has been respected by the all the
members of the Cadet Corps.
b. Purpose of tradition: It is the way of the Members of the Colors
to protect the equipment that they use. The poles that is being
used in parades has been there since the early 2000 and still
exist till this day.
c. Scope of implementation: Members of the CCPNPA Colors
d. Manner of Implementation: For the colors their poles are
sacred, no other cadet is allowed to touch the pole unless
necessary and with the consent and approval of the Color
Officer.
e. Limitations: Members of the CCPNPA

5. Strict Implementation of NO Personal Servitude
a. Significance of tradition: Since early years the colors are taught
not to rely on someone to do jobs that they can do for their
selves.
b. Purpose of tradition: This tradition is done to avoid accepting
personal servitude to all the members of colors.
c. Scope of Implementation: Members of the Colors.
d. Manner of implementation: No members of colors shall accept
any form of personal servitude from any underclass. Personal
Servitude such as but not limited to;
 Fixing of bunks;
 Shining and Ironing of Uniform;
 Cleaning of room; and
 Cleaning of common areas.
e. Limitations: The members of the colors does not render personal
servitude but they can offer help to any upper class if necessary.
f. Duration:

6. Wearing of Shorts
a. Significance of tradition: A privilege given the 3 rd class cadets.
b. Purpose of tradition: To show that the sacrifices they need
deserves a reward, it may be simple but for the colors it means a
lot.
c. Scope of Implementation: All colors underclassmen.
d. Manner of implementation: The Colors can use shorts inside
dormitory, unless a prescribe uniform is assigned to be wear on
that specific time.
e. Limitations: The colors can exercise this tradition unless during
study period and taps where there is a prescribed uniform that
should be worn.
f. Duration: During free time inside dormitory.
