Materials and tools:
1. Use for a raincoat and rainboots the same type of yarn from which the frog was
crocheted. I used 5 ply cotton blend yarn (yardage 330 m / 100 g [361 yds / 3.5 oz])

For the raincoat - Yarn Art Jeans 35 (yellow)

For the rainboots – Alize Cotton Gold 60 (black), 55(white), 56 (red)

2. Crochet hook 2 mm [US steel hook 4, UK 2½].

3. Tapestry needle with large eye for the thread fastening.
4. Tailor pins.

Size

Abbreviation used:
st(s) – stitch(es);
ch – chain;
sl-st – slip stitch;
sc – single crochet (US), double crochet (UK);
inc – increase (2 sts worked into the same stitch = 1 increased).
dec – decrease (2 stitches crocheted off together, with separate bases and a shared
top);
dec3. – decrease of 3 sc (3 stitches crocheted off together, with separate bases and a
shared top);
blo – work through the back loop only;
flo – work through the front loop only;
(sc, in)... times – repeat instructions in parenthesis the indicated number of times.

completion of the row or round.

With yellow color crochet a chain of ch50 + ch1 for height adjustment. Crochet in rows.
Row 1: start working from the 2-nd loop, 1 sc each into every stitch, ch1, turn (50)
Row 2: 9 sc, ch 7 (skip 7 sts), 18 sc, ch7 (skip 7 sts), 9 sc, ch1, turn (54)

Rows 7-17: 11 rows 1 sc each into every stitch, ch1, turn (58)
Without cutting the yarn, single crochet a side edge (moving from the bottom edge to
the neck).
Make 2 sc in each corner stitch.
Then, without cutting the yarn, crochet 1 sc each into every stitch across the neck, ch1,
turn crocheting, 1 sc each into every stitch across the neck again, ch1, turn crocheting
and crochet one more row – 1 sc each into every stitch across the neck.
Without cutting the yarn, single crochet other side edge of the coat (moving from the
neck to the bottom edge). Make 2 sc in each corner stitch.
Fasten off and weave in the yarn ends.

Sleeves
Attach the yellow thread to the back of the sleeve’s opening. Crochet 14 sc along the
opening (7 st along the bottom and 7 st along the top). Single crochet the length of the
sleeve in a spiral, you should get 15 rounds in total. Fasten off and weave in the yarn
ends.
