AmpliTube 3 is a versatile amplifier emulator for Mac OS X

and Windows, which works as both a stand-alone
application and as a plug-in for digital audio
workstations such as Logic Pro 8. Using AmpliTube, you
can connect your guitar to your PC and generate the same
types of distortion and amplification that you would get
from a real amplifier, with fully customizable settings. The
AmpliTube software works seamlessly with Logic Pro 8.

Instructions
Install AmpliTube on your computer. Insert the installer disc into your CD /DVD-
ROM drive, select the installer icon (appearing on your desktop) and follow the on-
screen prompts. In addition to installing AmpliTube as a program in your "Applications"
folder, the installer will place the appropriate plug-in file inside your "Audio Units"
folder, allowing you to automatically access it from within Logic.

Connect a guitar to your computer. You can use any analogue instrument, but electric
guitars work best. To connect your guitar, use a USB guitar cable (which features a
USB connector on one side, and a 1/4" TRS cable on the other side), or an audio
