The leadership recognition used by Microsoft's CEO, Satya Nadella.
Thirty-four years ago, a nineteen-year old kid along side with his twenty-two year old teenage
business associate went into the market field with their very first program to a little computer
compony located in new Mexico. Their program was refed to as BASIC, and so was it the new
era of this astonishing world known as "MICROSOFT'. Gates was raised in a wealthy family
where business has been their means of living. After his mothers passing, the young man than
started showing interest in the computing field at a late age of thirteen. Through technological
innovations, similar business skills, and competitive techniques, Bill Gates and his long side
partner were able to built the world's largest software enterprise. At the age of thirty-one Bill
Gates was named as the youngest billionaire worldwide which was after two years of the release
of Microsoft. Microsoft is a united states multinational digital creating engineering compony
with over many gadgets to choose from. Microsoft produces gadgets like computers, creates
websites as well as computer offices or applications like Microsoft office which is gathered by
many applications to consume. The compony established by Bill Gates in association with Allen
Paulin 1975 and begin production on the 04th of April in the same year. The well-known and
most commonly played game, time waster known as Solitaire was actually produced by
Microsoft and was given as a game for a quite satisfactory reason. The game based on a premise
that the player shifts cards to their required places, this was so that it would educate different
users to gain the knowledge of being able to drag and drop files when using a computer.
Currently Microsoft's biggest competitor is Apple and are working on biggest improvements to
gain their top rack back. Much has drastically revolted about the compony. In the late years, the
Microsoft business was humongous dependent on doing marketing with their software tools to
potential clients including some enterprises as well as it's windows operating systems to
manufactures of personal computers. Nowadays there are never ending productions and
improvements in Microsoft. Not only did the compony make profits because of the two
everlasting partners but through the process, they employed workers and in those workers one
was given the rank as a CEO of the compony known Satya Nadella.

Nadella became the CEO of this multinational the 04th February 2014. The compony was not
losing money by any chance but it was about to lose it's relevance that has been built over the
late three decades since production resumed. Nadella has overseen and driven outstanding
impact and growth in profit making of the compony, even more impressive considering that the
compony is a giant in the business industry. Nadella believes in the power of positive leadership
and uses figures like "growth mindset" as well "empathy" that are driven by actions. One would
say Nadella uses the authentic leadership style, this is a leadership strategy that deals with the
behavior of a leader and includes self-awareness, internalized moral perspective, relational
transparency and balanced processing (Garden & Carlos, 2015; Miao, Humphrey & Qian, 2018).
Nadella believes that, the more authentic of a leader you are, the more your millennial employees
will appreciate you. He says as well that millennials can suspect a drop of inauthenticity in a
pacific-ocean size like our Caribbean reef shark friends. The instantly driving force for this
company's enormous growth money making recently is because of the influenced leadership
style used by the CEO. Authentic leaders also engage in business in a clear environment whereas
creativity is inaugurated and advised by including curtain objects assisted by moral values and
words by giving a hand to facts and connected bonds with their followers. It has also been said
that authentic leaders poses a high impact on their workers innovativeness and creative
techniques in doing things productively. Nadella also uses transformational leadership as he
strives into building a powerful collaboration within his workplace with his co-workers. The
officer also works on motivating and empowering workers in looking for possible ways to bring
change to the compony either by empowering their innovative skills or creativity skills. "The
view you adopt for yourself profoundly affects the way you lead your life". - Satya Nadella.
Nadella uses innovation as a self-driving path to the future. He uses it in generating clear image
of situations, by producing energy and walks the outcomes through goals, assortment and
insertion as well as empowerment. The origin innovation comes from encountering a deep
sensation of empathy. He uses innovation to encourage the workers as well to acknowledge
occasions before they flatter into received opinion. He adds that the most inborn for all
humanities is that capability to be able to put ourselves in other persons shoes and to visualize
the world and the way they see it, and that's empathy. one cannot be innovative without empathy.
We should be able to appreciate and share their thoughts and emotions with different people.
One of the other important expertise one can use as a leader or an innovator is to be capable
perceive antithetical information with empathy because it is typically easy to absorb.
For the organizational culture used by Nadella is the hierarchy culture also known as the control
culture, where he ensures that the compony employees work proficiently like well-oiled
machines and place a huge amount of the concentration on their outcomes, stability as well as
dependable delivery. Most tasks and implementations are taken by existing procedures, rather
than alot of innovation and freethinking. Majority of accuracy in connection and assumptions
because nearly each one is recommended. Operators involvement goes under considerable sense
of security and equality. He adds innovation in his organizational skills. For Microsoft to be
ideally partners with apple compony is because of the innovations in Nadella. Nadella brought
Microsoft office to IOS and Android. He knew competitors were the best alternative solution to
confuse the technology market. Often updating Microsoft cloud platform Azure and relocating
it's search engine Bing on the cloud platform was one of his initial accomplishments. Microsoft

became globally recognized when it transformed the desktop office and windows license to
subscriptions, swapping the lucrative license model to and even more attractive license model
and stable software as a service (SaaS) business model. The CEO believes that the company's
products may come and go, but the value is endless. Empathy + shared values + Safety and
Reliability =Trust over time.
Under Nadella, Microsoft revised its mission statement to "empower every person and every
organization on the planet to achieve more". Since Nadella became CEO the stock of the
compony tripled with 27% annual growth rate. Microsoft corporation is a leading software
producer of all times. One can easily analyze the history of the company's development from the
point of view of steps that the company's leader Bill Gates ahs taken on the way to such great
success. Nevertheless, it is possible that Microsoft will take over the different spheres of life of
its clients from cars to toys to make the life of humans easier and prolong its impacts on us.

SELF-REFLECTIVE ESSAY.
Leadership is about being able to persuade people in doing what you wish them to do, being able
to be looked at and recognized for who you are and what you do, how you influence people
within your area or your leadership and how you are leading including the styles you poses and
implement. It gives people the ability to use the necessary skills and opportunities in being an
effective leader. One cannot be a leader if they are failing to lead themselves and the only way to
lead yourselves is when you poses all the necessary skills required for you to become a leader.
During this coarse I realized the difference between a beginning leader and a pro-leader. A
beginning leader has the skills but do not know how to implement the skills they have while a
pro-leader has the necessary skills and implements them in an effective way that the people that
are following him are able to learn from what he does and how he does it. I was hoping to know
what leaders do but instead I learned what leaders poses. Learning out through this module I was
made reluctant that not all leaders are supposed to be leaders and that leaders are not born but are
made. For one to become a leader, they have to give in a lot and should be committed to their
work always and should have self-respect in order for them to gain the respect from the people
they are leading. One cannot gain respect if they lack self-respect. I learned that a leader should
have a coach, the one that will be going in with him/her in the field, the one that will assist him
in what he needs to become who they want to be. A leader should have a mentor, a mentor that
will be mentoring him throughout the journey of life as a leader, a mentor that will be giving
him/her what it takes to be at the level of life in leadership where they want to be and a mentor
that will be assisting them with problems. A leader should also have a therapist. One cannot be a
leader and keep things to themselves, they need people that they can sit with and talk to when

they get to face personal/physical problems in life, a therapist will act like a brain doctor to the
leader. I will therefore continue in looking for new ways on what an effective leader is and they
should posses and how they should give leadership to their peers.
For one to become a good leader, they should engage in honest, open communication. Being able
to create an open line of communication with your teem members or peers. When you are a
responsible leader, it is important to be straightforward with your peers and if you make honest
and ethical behavior as a key value, your peers will be able to follow. You should also be able to
connect with them, have a bond with them that will be strong if you tend to listen to what they
say and not only giving them what you wish to serve. Encourage personal and professional
growth and keep a positive attitude. Educate your peers as well not only giving them orders.
Leadership is about being able to make wise choices that will affect your peers in an affective
way, a way in which they will be happy with your service and learn how to understand different
life scenarios. Through this, one can become an effective leader and gain a personal reputation
for themselves. Not only should you talk to them by listening to what they want you to do as a
leader, btu you should set clear goals and expectations and give direct feedback to your peers
when they inquire you on something. Leadership coaching can also challenging, can bring joy
and sadness at the same time, btu if you provide what is needed and poses the required skills,
leading should be a kick and go to you.
