Cosota-Requirement For Registration of Copyright
GROUP/CHOIR/COMPANY/BAND
a) Names of group members and representative(s) if it is a group/band or
choir.
b) Two (2) copies of CD’s VCD’S /DVDs/BOOK/PICTURE of each album,
manuscript, Lyrics, Film, Drama or Comedy.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
1. Works must be the ones that copyright subsists under the Copyright Act
2. All creators/artists are encouraged to be members of COSOTA to earn
royalties.
3. All members are encouraged to activate their membership by paying annual
subscription fees
4. During the time of registration of work one must attached two copies of
works for each album/film as stipulated above. (These two copies must
enclose in hard cover.
5. In case of literary work one must furnish the office with copies of
manuscript (righter up) or Book.
6. For any expressed literary idea/ manuscript, it must be clearly
elaborated including the followings;

Objectives
Content
Conclusions
9. In case the copyrighted work you are seeking registration you are not the
original creator/author or composer, but you have acquired its economic
rights through assignment or licensing, therefore, you are required to
attach all proper contract(s) which shows how you have become a new
owner of the said right(s) or work.
10. Group, Choir or Company cannot be creators of the works as there are
people behind the work. Therefore the company should submit all contracts
they entered with these individuals.
Note that: for the trainers/teachers or volunteers of choir or
group must transfer the said rights in written to the
Group/choir showing dates, witness etc. For the company, employees,
employers or directors who have come up with an intellectual property
work; they should prepare written transfer document of authors or
creators’ consent of particular intellectual property work which goes to
the company or group as a new owner.
11. Make sure you come with all contracts of producers, publisher or
Distributors of the said work(s)
