1. Cover Disassembly
1) Disassemble Mass Cam Driving Box Cover Screws. (2 places)

2. Mass Cam Bolt Disassembly[Refer to Figure 5-1]


1) Disassemble Mass Cam Screws. (3 places)

Solenoid 1) Manually operate Solenoid Crank move Mass Cam to Roller.

2) Set Main Shaft Angle at 293˚.


3) After locating the point where the Movable Mass moves
2 - 3 times by manually operating the Mass Cam, tighten Mass
Cam Screw. (1 place only)
[Refer to Figure 5-4,5]

CAUTION) Verify that Mass Cam is placed tightly to


Bearing side. If not, it may result in problems in angle
Figure 5-4 changes or thread not being cutting.
Movable Mass

4) Manually rotate the Main Shaft to be at 293˚ to verify the Movable


Mass moves.
If the Movable Mass moves before or after 293˚,
repeat steps 2) to 4). [Refer to Figure 5-5]

5) Assemble the remaining Mass Cam Bolts.
