Position Description

As a Data Engineer on ODE’s Team, you will help design and engineer the data supply
chain and assist with data science and analytics. As a key participant of your team, you’ll
design your changes, implement and test those amends, push to live, and triage
production issues. You will use various methods to transform raw data into useful data
systems. Overall, you’ll strive for efficiency by aligning data systems with business goals.
You will work closely with employees in creating an efficient, scalable and secure
applications. Passion for learning, collaboration and fun is a must!

• Research and engineer key features into product road map.


• Prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modeling
• Build algorithms, prototypes and analytical tools
• Interpret and create market research from data trends and patterns.
• Build data pipelines in support of industry specific data science capabilities.
• Analyze and organize raw data from multiple sources using metadata
• Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability
• Create scalable and high performing APIs with backend serverless functions

The Essentials

• Experience of 5+ years as a Data engineer or in a similar role.


• A bachelor’s, Computer Science, Data Science or related field.
• Coding experience in R, Python & Java with great numerical and analytical skills.
• Technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques
• Hands-on experience with SQL/NoSQL database design
• 3+ yrs. of in-depth experience working in AWS data pipeline.
• Strong communication, problem solving and time management skills
• Ability to learn quickly and translate concepts into solutions.

The Nice to Haves

• Solid foundation in Computer Science concepts and an understanding of data


privacy and security.
• Experience with blockchain technologies such as Ethereum and Hyperledger
Fabric.
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline development such AWS CodePipeLine
• Experience with Scrum & Agile methodologies
