ELECTRICAL SCIENCE

1. Find the equivalent resistance for various circuits shown in Fig. 1.

2. Refer to the circuit of Fig. 2 & 3
a. Calculate the current through each resistor in the circuit using ohm’s law.
b. Determine the total current supplied by the voltage source.
c. Find the power dissipated by each resistor.

3. Use source transformation to find V0 and Vx in the circuit of Fig. 4 and Fig. 5 respectively.

4. Find i0 and ix in the circuit of Fig. 6 and Fig. 7 respectively, using source transformation method.

5. For the circuit in Fig.8, find i1 and i2 . [Ans. i1= 8mA, i2=12mA]

6. Find Vo in the circuit in Fig.9 and the power dissipated by the controlled source.
[Ans. Vo= -4.44 V, P = 98.75 Watt]
7. For the circuit in Fig.10 find Vo/Vs in terms of α, R1, R2, R3 and R4 if R1= R2= R3= R4. What value of α
will produce V0/Vs=10. [Ans. V0/Vs= -α R4R3/[(R1+R2)(R3+R4)], α = -40]
