year. How much money will she have in her account after 3 years?

2. Beshiwap deposited Php 50,000 in a cooperative with 2% interest per annum. She plans
to withdraw her money when it accumulates to Php 80,000. How long will it take her
before she withdraws her money?

3. You want to start saving money for your college education. You deposited Php 10,000 in
a time deposit account with an interest rate of 3% compounded monthly. How much will
be your money after 5 years?

4. Nenita paid a total amount of Php 327,925 on the maturity date of her loan in GSIS. If
the term of her loan is 6 years with 6% interest compounded semi-annually, how much
money did she borrow?

A. Determine whether the situation is classified under simple ordinary annuity, general ordinary

12% compounded quarterly. The first payment is due at the end of 1 year.
___________2. Wade Wilson started to deposit Php 1,500 monthly in a fund that pays 6%
compounded semi-annually.
___________3. A TV set can be bought for Php 37,395 with no down payment. An installment of Php
2,000 per month for 24 months are required to pay the TV set with interest
compounded monthly.
___________4. Mr. Kev Yaman buys a car and pays Php 200,000 cash with a condition to pay Php
18,000 at the end of each month for 5 years to pay all the principal and interest at
the rate of 12% compounded monthly.
___________5. A house and lot can be acquired at a down payment of Php 800,000 and a monthly
payment of Php 12,500 at the end of each month for a period of 20 years, starting at
the end of 6 months from the date of purchase.

3. Determine the amount of semi-annual coupon paid for a 2.75% bond with a face value of
Php 165,000 which matures after 6 years.

4. If you bought 400 shares of Jobillee Foods Corp. at Php 200 per share and sold at Php 250 per
share, how much did you earn?
