Antigone

This performance report summarizes a production of Antigone by Jean Anouilh, directed by Maria Protopapa. The play was performed at Theatro Texnis in Athens, Greece. Anouilh's version of the Greek tragedy focuses on the conflict between Antigone's moral ideals and Creon's authority. The director emphasized elements of epic theater through interruptions and a metatheatrical framing. Further details are provided on the cast, sets, costumes, lighting, and other production elements, but overall assessment of the performance is not included.
