Animal testing

VIVASOL® GF + GF LM have not been tested on animals and no animal testing is planned.

Additives

VIVASOL® GF + GF LM do not contain any additives. It is not preserved, blended, flavored,


colored, stabilized or diluted by any additive (i.e., it does not contain):
- preservatives such as Parabens, sorbic acid, BHT, BHA, TBH-Q,
p-Phenyldiamine
- synthetic and natural emulsifiers; polysorbates
- anti-oxidants and vitamins
- mineral additives such as mineral nutrition additives
- synthetic additives such as aldehydes like acetaldehyde, propionaldehyde; odor and
taste improving or masking substances; synthetic and natural coloring substances
- hormones such as pro-hormones, anabolic or other steroids
- other additives such as yeast, nitrite, or dairy products

Composition and Origin

VIVASOL® GF + GF LM are pure Croscarmellose manufactured from wood cellulose.


Croscarmellose process aids are only of synthetic origin:
- Sodium hydroxide
- Acetic acid and acetic acid derivatives
- Ethanol

Dietary (Nutritional Information)

VIVASOL® GF + GF LM are free of:


- Carbohydrates (digestible carbohydrates and fibres, wheat, corn)
- Fats and fatty acids (Any kind of fatty acid; any kind of plant or animal derived oil like
ricinus oil (castor oil))
- Proteins and amino acids (Leucine, phenyl-alanine, cysteine, glutamic acid, aspartic
acid etc.)
- Starches and starch derivatives (any kind of starch, pre-gelatinized or soluble starch,
dextrin)
- Sugars and sugar derivatives (any kind of mono-, or disaccharides like sugar,
lactose, glucose, maltose, fructose etc; sugar based flavors; sugar based alcohols
like sorbitol, mannitol)

Impurities

VIVASOL® GF + GF LM are free of:


Dioxin
Latex
Metal Catalysts and Reagents
Pesticides
Melamine
Ethylene Oxide Treatment
Diethylene Glycol
Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (e.g., Benzopyrene)
Rubber
Gelatine

Irradiation

VIVASOL® GF + GF LM do not contain irradiated materials nor are they irradiated in any
manner during the manufacturing and packaging process.

Process description

VIVASOL® GF + GF LM are manufactured by suspending cellulose in ethanol and sodium


hydroxide. After cross-linking by the cross-linking agent, etherification with monochloroacetic
acid and pH adjusting with acetic acid VIVASOL® GF + GF LM are washed with ethanol,
then dried, sieved and packaged.

Re-evaluation / expiration

When stored as recommended, VIVASOL® GF has a recommended re-evaluation period of


4 years.
When stored as recommended, VIVASOL® GF LM has a recommended re-evaluation period
of 2 years.

An additional year for VIVASOL® GF and half a year for VIVASOL GF® LM can be added
after each re-evaluation if the Loss on Drying results are within specifications.

The expiration dates for VIVASOL® GF + GF LM have not been determined.

Storage Recommendations

VIVASOL® GF + GF LM should be stored in original, well-closed containers protected from


excessive heat and moisture.
Inner bags should be sealed and cartons tightly secured when the entire content of the
package is not used.
