Q3 English 9 Module 4.edited

This document provides instructions for an English lesson on evaluating evidence presented in speeches. It includes learning targets about identifying, evaluating, and counter arguing evidence. It describes an activity where students watch a video on growth mindsets and answer questions. It then explains suprasegmental elements like pitch, stress, juncture, and intonation used in speeches. Students listen to a speech again and analyze these elements. They are asked to determine the type of speech and provide evidence for their judgment. Finally, it outlines a debate activity where students will argue for or against propositions related to self-reliance based on a assigned text.
