Process reliability Chips and the associated heat are a natural


enemy of precision machining with a high
repetition rate. That’s why our machines have
been optimised to remove chips quickly and
reliably from the working area.

Chip disposal The basic principle behind the design of your Heckert machine
is thermo-symmetry. The benefits of thermo-symmetry can be seen not only
in the flow of force within the frame assemblies, but also in the chip-dis-
posal process. The material is fed downwards directly into the throat of
the centrally fitted chip conveyor.

Fixed plates Wherever possible, the guide tracks of your Heckert


are protected by fixed plates. The smooth surfaces and steep an-
gles of these plates mean that the chips cannot become stuck,
thereby eliminating the risk of chip jams.

Cooling Thanks to the internal coolant supply, with a


maximum of 80 bar, the tool and workpiece are cooled
and the chips are powerfully flushed away. If the
chip volume increases, you can use additional
flushes to wash the entire machining area with
up to 280 litres per minute.
