I. Objectives

This document provides a daily lesson log for a statistics and probability class covering random variables and probability distributions. Over four days, students will learn about key concepts like random variables, histograms, probability distributions, and their properties. They will practice calculating probabilities for random variables and illustrating probability distributions with histograms. On the fourth day, students will learn about finding the mean and variance of discrete random variables, and practice calculating and illustrating the mean of given random variables. Formative assessments are built into each lesson to check student understanding of the new concepts.
