The document appears to be a test from a Human Computer Interaction class, assessing students' knowledge of usability principles. It contains questions about system visibility, matching real world expectations, user control, consistency, error prevention, recognition over recall, flexibility and efficiency of use, and aesthetic design. Metrics are also provided to calculate time-based and overall relative efficiency for 10 users completing 1 task.

PART C (Marks – 10)
#1: Visibility of system status There are proper labeling if every action in the interface so user can understand easily what system will do and what is going on. #2: Match between system and the real world Delete, clipboard and home are real life words rather than jargons which a user can easily understand. #3: User control and freedom If the user delete something by mistake so he can restore is back also this way we are ensuring user control and freedom. #4: Consistency and standards By using standard keys for undo and redo that is CTRL+Z for undo and CTRL+Y for redo we are ensuring system standards. #5: Error prevention: If the user delete something by mistake so he can restore is back also this way we are ensuring error prevention. #6: Recognition rather than recall The clipboard is clearly visible and also delete and undo options so user don’t have to find and memorize that where he can delete or redo items. #7: Flexibility and efficiency of use By using standard keys for undo and redo that is CTRL+Z for undo and CTRL+Y for redo we are ensuring flexible and efficient use. #8: Aesthetic and minimalist design There are no information which are irrelevant or unrelated to deletion and restoration to items. Time Based Efficiency: N= the total number of tasks= 1 R=the total number of users=10 User 1: Nij = 0 & Tij = 86 User 2: Nij = 1 & Tij = 190 User 3: Nij = 1 & Tij = 90 User 4: Nij = 1 & Tij = 69 User 5: Nij = 0 & Tij = 150 User 6: Nij = 1 & Tij = 80 User 7: Nij = 1 & Tij = 99 User 8: Nij = 1 & Tij = 65 User 9: Nij = 0 & Tij = 59 User 10: Nij = 0 & Tij = 71 Time based efficiency = (0/86 + 1/190 + 1/90 + 1/69 + 0/150 + 1/80 + 1/99 + 1/65 + 0/59 + 0/71) 1*10 =0.0067 goals/sec
Overall Relative efficiency:
N= the total number of tasks= 1 R=the total number of users=10 User 1: Nij = 0 & Tij = 86 User 2: Nij = 1 & Tij = 190 User 3: Nij = 1 & Tij = 90 User 4: Nij = 1 & Tij = 69 User 5: Nij = 0 & Tij = 150 User 6: Nij = 1 & Tij = 80 User 7: Nij = 1 & Tij = 99 User 8: Nij = 1 & Tij = 65 User 9: Nij = 0 & Tij = 59 User 10: Nij = 0 & Tij = 71 Overall relative efficiency is = ( (0*86) + (1*190) + (1*90) + (1*69) + ( 0*150) + (1*80) + (1*99) + (1*65) + (0*59) + (0*71) 86+190+90+69+150+80+99+65+59+71 0.618*100 61.8%
