Task 1 Line Chart
The graph below shows information about the total oil consumption of four major
consumers from 2009 to 2030.
The given chart depicts the amount of oil consumed in 4 prevalent countries namely the
USA, China, the Middle East, Western & Japan between 2009 and 2030.
Generally, from 2015, it is apparent that the percentage of oil consumption in the USA,
Western Europe & Japan are predicted to decrease, while those of China and The Middle
East are projected to rise moderately. It can also be seen that America is the major
consumer of fossil fuel in the examined period of time.
In 2009, starting at 10 million barrels of oil per day, the figure for the US remained stable in
the next 6 year before being anticipated to decline remarkably to about 4 millions barrels by
2030. As for Western EU & Japan, in the first given year, the amount of oil used in these
countries was nearly 4 millions containers per day and then its figure gradually decreased in
the next period of time, which is predicted to fall at 2 millions of oil per day in 2030.
By contrast, China and the Middle East virtually shared an upward trend in the examined
time; those of 2009 witnessed the same number at around 2 millions barrels per day. While
other countries saw a decrease in the next 6 year, the total oil consumption in China and the
Middle East increased moderately to approximately 3 millions, 2.2 millions barrels of oil
respectively. By 2030, an upward trend is also anticipated in those countries stood at 4
millions barrels per day.
