done the work from market or some professionals.

Assessment of
Capstone Project – Execution and Report Writing (CPE – 22060)
CPE – 22060 Assement has two components.
1. Progressive Assessment (PA) of 50 marks
2. End Semester Examination (ESE) of 50 marks
Total assement of 100 marks

1. Progrssive Assessment (PA)


PA (term work submission) of every student is based on attendance, weekly performance,
interpersonal behaviour, teamwork, performance in presentation and demonstration, skills
developed.

Following documents must be prepared as a part of PA

1.1. Capstone Project Execution Plan


1.2. Project Diary
1.3. Power Point Presenatations and Demonstration
1.4. Project Report
1.5. Evaluation sheet for Internal Assessment

1.1 Capstone Project Execution Plan :


 Capstone Project Plan is of utmost importance and must be followed to
complete capstone project within scheduled time.
 Based on feedback received in the Fifth Semester Examination, students must
prepare this plan in consultation with Project Guide and get it approved by
Project Guide
 Activities planned and completed will be assessed by project guide and subject
teacher on regular intervals.
 Activities planned and completed must be documented in Project Diary and
need to be reflected in corresponding chapters of Project Report.
 Execution plan is mentioned in Appendix A

1.2 Project Diary : for the whole Sixth Semester
 Must be maintained by every Student in the format given in Appendix C
 This is sort of a “Weekly Diary”.
 Entries must be for every week in detail.
o Student must mention all the activities conducted in each week as
required for completion of the project.
 It must be signed by project guide on every week for progressive assessment.

1.3 Power Point Presentation and Project Demonstration


 Presentations and Demonstration of project are mandatory for Progressive
Assessment (PA), and End Semester Examination (ESE)
 Presentation must be well organized and includes major information and must
be presented well.
 While evaluation of presentation, individual contribution of every member shall
be assessed.
 Presentations must be conducted TWICE in sixth semester
1.3.1 At the end of PA before group of teachers and junior students.
 This should be followed by demonstration of project and question
answer session.
 Students are expected to reply / answer most of the questions
properly
 Corrections, suggestions given during this presentation and
demonstration need to be incorporated and must be revised
accordingly.
 Such revisions in project and presentations must be approved by
project guide.
 These corrections, suggestion will again be evaluated at the end of
Execution Plan and during End Semester Examination
1.3.2 During End Semester Examination (ESE) in front of external and internal
examiners.
 This should be followed by demonstration of project and question
answer session
 Students are expected to reply / answer most of the questions
properly

1.4 Project Report
 During the final semester, the student will prepare a “Project Report” in
continuation with the activities conducted in fifth semester under Capstone
Project Planning
 Student must submit the chapter of report one by one to project guide as per
the schedule given in Appendix A : Capstone Project Execution Plan for
corrections and assessment.
 After assessment by guide, chapters must be submitted to subject teacher as
per schedule mentioned in Appendix A.
 First four chapters of the report are based on “Capstone Project Planning” of
fifth semester. These chapters should have written in fifth semester itself.
 Project report must be very detailed, correct and clear in description of
methods / procedures, precautions, conclusions.
 It shall cover enough tables, figures, charts and sketches wherever necessary.

1.5 Evaluation of Progressive Assessment (PA)


Performance of every student shall be evaluated based on following rubric

 Every student has to prepare and submit evaluation sheet for internal assessment
as mentioned in Appendix - B

2. Evaluation of End Semester Examination (ESE)
Evaluation of each student for End Semester Examination will be carried out by external
examiner. It will be based on presentation and demonstration as mentioned in 1.3.2
