How To Use The eFPS Offline Form Application

How to use the eFPS Offline Form Application

After you install the eFPS Offline Form application, you must add a user before you can use its
features.

To add a user

1. Open the folder where you installed the eFPS Offline Form application.

2. Double click “eFPSOffline” with “.bat”


extension or with file type “Windows Batch
File”. The command prompt window (Figure
1a) and the eFPS User Menu (Figure 1b)
appear on your screen.

3. Supply the TIN and Username that you use


to log on to eFPS online, and then click
“Login”.

4. The Create New Profile (Figure 2a) window

To accomplish a tax return

1. On the eFPS User Menu, select


the tax form to fill out from
the Form list, and then click
the File Tax Return button.
The tax return form appears
on your screen.

2. Fill up the form as you would do when you are online.

Note: The form can be printed or saved while being completed.


a. To print, scroll to ‘Action’ menu and click ‘Print’ or press keys ‘Ctrl’ and ‘p’ simultaneously.
b. To save and work on it later, scroll to ‘Action’ menu and click ‘Save File’ or press keys ‘Ctrl’ and
‘s’ simultaneously.

3. Click “Validate” button to verify if the form is filled-out correctly, “Edit” to modify entry/ies or
“Submit” to submit the form to eFPS Online.

Notes:
a. Verify that your computer is connected to the internet when submitting the form to eFPS
website.
b. A copy of the form (whether or not submission to eFPS Website was successful) is saved in your
computer for viewing, printing or re-submission later.

To view a form
1. On the eFPS User Menu, select
the tax form you want to view
from the Form list, and then
click the View Offline Form
button. The eFPS View Offline
Form appears.

2. Select the specific filed tax


return, and then click the View
button. The return is displayed
on your screen.

Note: The screen displays a list


of filed returns; latest filed
return is displayed on top.

3. You can print, save or submit the form you are viewing. To print, scroll to ‘Action’ menu and click
‘Print’ or press keys ‘Ctrl’ and ‘p’ simultaneously. To save and work on it later, scroll to ‘Action’ menu
and click ‘Save File’ or press keys ‘Ctrl’ and ‘s’ simultaneously. To submit, click the ‘Submit’ button
located at the bottom of the form.

Note: Verify that your computer is connected to the internet when submitting the form to eFPS
online.

To update a profile
1. On the eFPS User Menu, click the Update
Profile button. The Create New Profile
dialogue box appears.

2. Select ‘Yes’ to update your profile. The


Password window appears on your screen.
3. Supply your password, and then click OK. The Status window appears, indicating the status of your
connection.

Note: Verify that your computer is connected to the internet. The application connects to eFPS to get
your updated registration information.

4. The application notifies you whether or


not updating of your profile is successful.

List of Prompt Screens

Prompt Screen Explanation

Message shown when (a) you are


creating a profile for a new user or (b) the
system cannot find the profile for the TIN,
Branch Code and Username you provided
when logging on to the eFPS Offline Form
application.

Message shown when eFPS online is not


accessible/available or your computer is
not connected to the internet and you are
trying to (a) Create a new profile/user(b)
submitting a tax return (c) Updating
profile.

Verify that eFPS is accessible/available or


your computer is connected to the
internet. Contact your respective BIR
Helpdesk/Contact Center or your service
provider for assistance.
Message shown when you are connected
to the internet and could not log on to
eFPS website. You need to scroll down to
read the entire message.

Verify that the login information you


provided is correct.

Message shown when the system detects


that the profile of the currently logged on
user has been modified.

You must:

(1) delete the affected file (i.e. tin/branch


code/username) in the ‘profile’ folder
and;
(2) create a new profile .

Note: Navigate to the folder where you


installed the eFPS Offline Form
application to locate the ‘Profile’ folder.

Message shown when the system detects


that there is an updated version of the
eFPS Offline application.

Visit the eFPS website to download and


install the latest version of the eFPS
Offline Form application.
