Tips for the use of Going to:
• 1. The contraction of the subject and the verb BE is
possible in aff and neg forms:
• I am going to travel. = I’m going to travel.
• We are not going to cook.= We aren’t going to…
• We ‘re not going to….

• 2. In SPEAKING going to is reduced or shortened and


sounds like “gonna”:
• He‘s going to have a picnic.
• It sounds: He’s gonna have a picnic.
• 3. Don’t forget to use Future time expressions:
• Tomorrow the day after tomorrow next day
• next Friday next week next month next year
• on Monday in December on the weekend in 2023
