HELPFUL TIP 1
HELPFUL TIP 2
BRING YOUR OWN LEADS/CABLES IN
We dont have a cable for every device you may want to plug into the computer. There are 50 imacs in the studio if everyone is trying to connect via Bluetooth it can take a long time to locate the device you are trying to connect to. NOT ALL CAMERAS WILL DIRECTLY CONNECT TO THE IMACS, SO IF YOU HAVE A CARD READER BRING IT WITH YOU.
HELPFUL TIP 3
SOFTWARE: All our imacs have the following core applications installed: ADOBE CS4 MASTER COLLECTION MS OFFICE 2008 FINALCUT EXPRESS IWORK 09
If you are working with a newer version of any of the above software and wish to open it at college you will need to save it in a legacy file format. If you are using another word processing application always save using a couple of alternatives an RTF (Rich Text Format) or as a DOC (Microsoft Word Document) file. WE ARE UNABLE TO SUPPLY SOFTWARE OR FIX PERSONAL EQUIPMENT
HELPFUL TIP 4
HELP
Technical staff are here to help you but there will be times when the studio is exceptionally busy. A HelpPoint is available and can be accessed from the Dock this will provide answers to most of the common questions you might have.
