1.0 INTRODUCTION

The Robots are six-axis robots with a pneumatic end effector to load the stator or
transfer tool into machines with precise location. Some items of note are…

1. Welded steel frame for strength in location

2. Multiple lag points
3. Pneumatic gripping of the stator with spring assist closed
4. Harden steel gripper pads
6. Independent filtering and pressure pneumatic adjustments

There are four styles of robots in the line.

• The first robot is 107135p050, 15914-028. This is the robot for loading the stator
to the AUX Cell and Drift
• The second robot is 107135p060, 15914-073. This is the robot for loading the
stator to the MAIN Cell and the gravity conveyor going to the blocker
• The third robot is 107135p062, 15914-097. This is the robot for loading the lacers
and the gravity conveyor that brings the stator out/off the line
• The fourth robot(s), there are two identical robots and end effectors. The AUX cell
is 107136p035, 15914-015. The Main cell is 107136p035, 15914-056. These
robots manage the transfer tools from on winder to another winder and to the
inserter.

2.0 NOMENCLATURE

End Effector The mechanical device that mounts on the

robot that does the work of grabbing and
carrying components of choice, typically the
end effector is pneumatic driven

Lag The ability to fix the machine to the floor to

prevent shifting

Spring-assist Grippers that have a spring assist will maintain

a low force grip with the absent of pneumatic
pressure

Six-Axis The joints on a robot that rotates or spins allow

the robot to position per the program of the
robot, typical a robot has six-axis of movement

7.0 RECOMMENDED SPARE PARTS LIST

For a listing of spare parts for each assembly, please refer to each assembly parts
list. The recommended spare parts and tooling parts are noted in a column listed as
A/B/C/T. The description of each of the letter designations are noted below.

Priority Status Definition For A/B/C/T Column

A = Critical (Moderate Chance Of Failure) (Critical For Production)

B = Consumable (Replace Frequently From Regular Use)

C = Long Lead (Low Failure Rate But Long Lead Item)

T = Perishable Tooling

Shown below is an example of an assembly parts list.
